Now that Iraq has been "taken care of," only five countries in the world are without a central bank: Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Cuba and Libya . All of these just happen to be on George Bush's "Axis of Evil" list. It's got nothing to do with nukes; it's all about the money. North Korea is on the hit list, but they intend to annihilate Iran first.

Americans do not want anyone to have nuclear weapons, and want to control everything other countries do, because they think that they are the "good guys" when they really have little thought in what freedom is to the entire world.
Americans have nuclear weapons as a deterrant, but all through history, posessing weapons like that and saying they are only deterrants can only lead to annihilation, because sooner or later, someone will have enough and call their bluff.
For me, the end of the way we all live our lives (aka apocalypse in the religious way) will be from the hand of the arrogant Americans thinking what they are doing is good.
At least with North Korea, een though I don't necessarily support how they go about their nuclear program, and even targetting countries like Australia, I would still side with them any day if it ever came down to an all-out war. I put more faith in the Koreans than I ever will in Americans.

Please don't forget -- North Korea and Iran are neither one on the "Top Ten List" of the USA. As North Korea has been supported by China for decades, it was inevitable that some nuclear technology would be developed and finally implemented in that country. It's too close to China to invade without immediate (and probably nuclear) retaliation, and in some ways it is a country with it's own deathwish -- more people are dying under the cult-of-personality leader Kim Jong IL than we will ever know.
North Korea has made a habit of brinksmanship: Saber-rattling and (to China's dismay) causing international consternation in order to sway negotiations in a way that benefits it's own (read Kim Jong IL's) interests.
Iran, on the other hand, is not an atheist, reclusive, and secretive society. The Shah of Iran was supported by the US, and with his fall (and the subsequent Hostage Crisis), Iran has remained a volatile and hostile territory to the interests of the West. Furthermore, the Shiite leadership encourages the use of suicide bombing as a means of resisting/combatting US and other Western interests and/or non-Shiite muslims.
Think of it this way: A 'younger brother' of China, North Korea can't afford to have international sanctions for an extended period of time, because China WILL have to face the criticism and ultimately, handle a refugee WAVE into China if the regime continues to make decisions that decimate it's own population. The DMZ between North Korea and South Korea is still very heavily watched, and (hopefully) new developments between South Korea and North Korea will enable SOME reconciliation that allows for less hostile overtures by NK and new ties that could lead to a future united Korea.
Iran is the central source of Shi'ite Islam: It has a convoluted and hostile history with the United States, espouses suicide bombings, the destruction of Israel, and completely denies the Holocaust. Because the leadership of Iran rests ultimately in the hands of the leadership of the faith, what would happen if the Ayatollah suddenly decided to brand ALL westerners (and any muslim who lived in their countries willingly) infidels, unworthy of Allah's protection? A small, portable nuclear device is more easily replicated than a missile (and we already have defenses in place for repelling a missile-launched attack in region). If a continued isolationist policy is in place against it, and Iran continues to build a nuclear-weapons capability, the West can only assume that a suicide-bombing wave of nuclear devastation could be the worst-case scenario from Iran.
At the heart of this lies not only differences in faith but a genuine mistrust and long-term hostility between these countries: The US has made use of covert and overt groups in attempts to destabilize Iranian politics for ages. The US has been a military presence in the Middle East for decades, and it's strongest allies are Sunni-dominated, NOT Shi'ite muslim countries. Nobody wants a nuclear exchange (however low-level) between any country EVER, but in the minds of Westerners, any faith that (currently!) implies individual salvation through wholesale slaughter of unbelievers is GOING to set-off alarms bells, period. As long as those bells keep ringing, every effort possible will be made to restrict and/or restrain nuclear proliferation in Iran.

Because North Korea wants to use the weapons as a bargaining chip while Iran wants to use the weapons to attack USA and Israel.

The USA doesn't want either one to have nukes. The difference is- with North Korea the proverbial "can of worms" is already opened, and its hard to un-open the can, they just have to deal with the situation as it is. With Iran the can of worms is still closed, and they are trying to keep it that way.

N Korea and Iran are the ONLY two countries who have threatened to "wipe countries off the map".If you can't see the problem with that then there's nothing to say.

Its not only the USA its the world and the citizens of Iran.
The president of Iran keeps talking about wiping out Israel.
His own people are telling him to shut up now that the US has moved in more ships to the Gulf.

Why are you asking your neighbour to stop threatening you while your other neighbout already started destroying your peace?.
is your question as silly as the above
when will you people start think about peacefull living of your fellowmen and not competing with each other in producing elements that eradicates human being on the face of earth. I hope your education alone is not enough to think "peace".
