It seems like it has become "American culture" for young people to go out, dirty dancing and get intoxicated or high.

im 20 about to be 21 and i dont really like the whole party trashed scene.. i think its ok... i mean i am married and what not... but i like more of the casual scene.. i like to dance but i prefer a more quiet tone... i dont see n e thing really exciting about going out to a bar/club, dressed like a whore... i mean is that really n e way to meet someone... i like to drink but not get trashed...

so just because others are doing that whole bar/club/party getting trashed thing... its probably bc a lot of celebrities do it too...

but i see that to be no reason for me to feel the need to do it myself

I wish I actually had more fun in my earlier 20's lol now i'm working so damn much I'm lucky to have a small get together of friends for drinks. Enjoy it while you can before you end up working your tail off like myself or start a family. Once you got the family started you gotta put them first instead of the partying. You may even start looking back when you get older and say wow i wish I could go back and actually enjoyed being younger a little more haha. Not sayin rush to go smoke a bowl but have a little fun in moderation that doesn't effect your work or college but at least get out.

yes it's perfectly normal. You choose to live your life the cleaner way! Congrats for not succumbing to the "American culture". I don't party like crazy and I dislike club scene when i'm in my early twenties too. Way to go!
