how is she playing around I'd be able to give a better explanation of the situation with a little more detail. But for an overall observation women hate to let the man go fully and see him with someone else even if they are with someone else. There is always that little jealousy voice in their mind. So maybe she's just trying to mess with your head a little for ego's sake too like hmm I could always go back to him if this with "so an so" doesn't work out. Don't let her play with your head counter it with your own fun quips, ego cuts, or just ignoring her.
