First of all Allah is the arabic name for the god of islam rather than the general term for god. And where is Allah? The only real answer I can give you is "in the minds of the believers".

Allah is in all human beings.He is everywhere, in love in sharing,in giving,in forgiveness, in acceptance,in peace in joy . He is also there in sorrow and grief for these open the door to deeper understanding of the life he has given us.

You can find such a great thing in your soul. Allah is great, present everywhere, hence it is called omnipresent.
But better to serach him in youself instead of books, spritual places.
If you are doing good, betterment for society, helping others who need helps in real sense, you can easily find god in yourself by satisfying yourself doing such great things.
Allah is the name for doing good things, name for almighty no body knows where it is. But you can find him by doing good things.

Your human eye can`t realize God . You can only see his effects on everything. You can`t see electricity, but you can see light .You can feel his hands upon the needy and the poor. You can feel his hands upon everthing and when you are sent to paradise , you can see himm.

they also say He is everywhere, but i guess what they mean is that He sees, and knows everything thats goin on EVERYWHERE
