I'm pointing out facts and points.

Muslims are humans too, humans who can get frustrated and angry when you are againts them.

Sometimes a fellow muslim may get angry, and why do you have to blame his religion?

frustration leads to violence

I think there are extremeists who give Islam a bad name, but those exist in any religion. However, an interesting note is that I was watching a news panel on Christianity vs Islam re: the film Kingdom of Heaven where those religions were also at odds. Oddly enough, the Muslim scholar came across as much more peaceful, intelligent, calm, etc than the Christian professor who was very irate and couldn't even keep facts straight.

Overall though, I tend to think people want to stereotype them as weird and violent because they are different from what the average American is used to. There is a mindset that has been in existance since the dawn of time that anything different from the "norm" is automatically evil and must therefore be eliminated.

Most people believe that the Muslim faith teaches something along the lines of - If you don't believe the way we do, we will take you by force. Force people to believe the truth. Thats what I here. Yes Muslims are frustrated. So are Christians, Jews, Protestants, Catholics. Everyone. Problem is, no one seems to have any patience or tolerance for discretion. Any issue arrising from religion is immediately met with hostility, resentment, and fear. Forgive us all for we do not know the way! Amen.

Hey, I'm a muslim woman and I'm frustrated with my ex husband, but that doesn't mean I'm going to run off and blow him up (although he does need a reality check/kick in the pants). I tried to show him what the Quran says in regards to treatment of wives and families, what the hadiths say about it, but instead of acting like a muslim, he acted like his Pakistani culture. He had the nerve to cross limits tonight and ended up being put in jail, and to be honest, I'm so frustrated right now I'm praying he has something bad happen to him that will make him open his eyes. But I'm not going to do what the extremists have done and organize a group of people to harm all Pakistani men becuase he happens to be one. That would be stupid.

I think the Muslims in the U.S. feel they got screwed because of the problems in the middle east.
Its not fair but its just like what we did to the Japanese after Pearl Harbor.

actually i don't feel much stress unless I'm on the Y!A since i live in an Islamic country where not everyone is against my religion....but whenever i come here and read these questions i get the feeling that those people who attack my religion do not even want to listen to what i have to say to defend myself ...they only want to see those who agree with their opinion and i guess they sometimes don't even bother to read....but I'm not frustrated yet

I'm Muslim and we are just like everyone else; you know good moments bad moment. I make mine as good as possible; I'm always laughing or watching cartoons; doing things that don't cause stress.

Do Not Follow Your Parents' Religion Blindly

[5:104] When they are told, "Come to what GOD has revealed, and to the messenger," they say, "What we found our parents doing is sufficient for us." What if their parents knew nothing, and were not guided?

[5:105] O you who believe, you should worry only about your own necks. If the others go astray, they cannot hurt you, as long as you are guided. To GOD is your ultimate destiny, all of you, then He will inform you of everything you had done.

No Compulsion in Religion

[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient

[2:257] GOD is Lord of those who believe; He leads them out of darkness into the light. As for those who disbelieve, their lords are their idols; they lead them out of the light into darkness - these will be the dwellers of Hell; they abide in it forever.
