I think this would be an awesome fight, and don't know if this one has been asked, so I shall ask it:
Willie Pep vs Pernell Whittaker. Both in their primes, over 15 rounds. Who wins this one, and how?

I'd have to go with Whitaker as he was naturally larger. Pep was 126. Whitaker 135 all the way up to 154. Whitaker had the size. Both were extremely slick, both had speed and both had great careers. Pep barely lost at all in his first 200 fights.
It would be an extremely technicial fight with Whitaker by close decison.

Would be a great fight. Pep has much more ring experience and matches Whittaker with strength. Pep lands more punches in this fight and wins more rounds. Pep by decision.

For me, its Pernell Whitaker, who in his prime was harder to hit than a lottery jackpot, has been elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame so he was a defensive figther and he knows when to hit his opponent and he is also a hard puncher that's why I go with Pernell Whitaker.

This would be a bad fight both of these guys were defensive geniuses. If it's twelve rounds I pick Sweet P if it's 15 I pick the wisp. But I don't know how this is a great fight? "Great fighters" but a bad matchup
