symptoms of a mini-stroke (transient ischemic attack or TIA) are usually sudden and come on quickly so i don't think you had one of them

common symptoms are

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

TIAs occur when a blood clot temporarily clogs an artery, and part of the brain doesn't get the blood it needs. The symptoms occur rapidly and last a relatively short time. Most TIAs last less than five minutes. The average is about a minute. Unlike stroke, when a TIA is over, there's no injury to the brain.

i would most certaintly make an appt to see your dr concerning the headaches since they are consistent. there might be something else going on

I am 22 i had a "mini stroke" or TIA about a year and a half ago. I had a headache that wouldnt go away and then i just lost it. My right hand wouldnt do what i wanted it to i couldnt concentrate i tried to walk and did a knee drop the the concret.I went to the ER immediatley my husband drove me there and i spent quite some time there till they told me thats what happend..they belive it was a blood clot/ the reason they call it a mini stroke is becuase it didnt leave any lasting effects.I to am forgetful alot of the time and also stutter a little bit. they dont think it is becuse of the TIA rather that i am under alot of stress since its not to the point that i forget where i am or who i am..the stuttering could be lasting effect but it only happens once in a while.... I am wondering if your blood pressure may cause some of this? Some of the medicines given actually tell you to tell your doctor if you experiance any forgetfulness and headaches..haveing high blood pressure can also cause head aches too...about the brain scan usually they need to do one right away to see where it affected the brain. TIA's usually dont leave any premenent signs but occasionally they can. Check your medicine out online if you dont have the pharmacy pack with you and find out what the side effect are and when to call your DR.

I DID have a mini stroke 6 weeks ago. Was your vision affected in anyway? Have you had a numbness on any side or place on your body? Have you noticed if your smile was oddly shaped or drooping on one end? Blood pressure meds can also play weird tricks on you. The side affects are brutal, as you probably know. What you should do is write down what affects you are having, and call your Dr. It may just be the medicine. Another thing, do you have cobwebs after the headaches? What about dizziness? Best thing to do is to call the Doc. If he or she decides you need a scan, they'll do it. Let the Doc make the decision for you. Good luck.

ive never known there was a such thing as a mini stroke but im glad i do now cause thats pretty scary. my best friend is only 21 and she had a full blown stroke. you're so young and i really dont want you to have to go through what she's going through. so go to the doctor and and make sure everything is ok.

It is possible. Also there is a new Swedish study that says that if one takes regular over the counter pain medicines every day, one's blood pressure goes up 33-60% above normal.
Please get checked. with a doctor. Have him also check you THYROID. Over active thyroids contribute to memory loss and other worries.
Good luck to you.
