The things you talk about is called sohla singhar i.e. 16 different type of ornaments to be worn by the bride during the traditional Hindu/ Vedic marriage ceremonies. Nowadays people hardly know about this sohla singhar all they know that some ornaments have to be worn during marriage by the bride & some by the groom. The performance of uttan (mixture paste of haldi, chandan etc) ceremony before the marriage day is also followed only in few cases who follow the traditional ways. In the modern society the importance of all these ceremonies have lost there importance but if you see the importance of these it will impress you even now. The concept of inter religious & inter caste marriage, getting married before the Marriage officer/registrar has faded all such traditional concepts. But don’t worry if you want to follow these you should go ahead.

in some traditions like south indian they do wear waist chain, arm bands etc.

there is not any etiquette for donning of a wedding ceremony band throughout a divorce. some women human beings or adult men have already thrown the marriage band at their significant different. some pawn it, some placed it in a drawer, some make rings, some throw it interior the sea. the alternative is yours.
