OK, so then the planes that hit the WTC and the groups who claimed responsibility couldn't possible be muslim because Islam is a religion of peace, so it must have been someone else pretending to muslim - come on,
anyone else think this is bull?

Most of the islamics I've met have been very friendly and hospitable people. But the religion itself is another story. You'll never convince me that it's not a violent religion. It's history is violent and the Koran has a lot of violence in it. But you can't paint every islamic with one brush.

I don't think it's so much a matter of being bull as much as it is extremists who go too far in living the fear filled part of a religion. Muslims aren't the only ones guilty of torturous behaviour. Look at the Christian religion in the past. The Spanish Inquisition wasn't exactly a picnic in the sun for a lot of people. Granted a lot of people are going to say that was in the past and it doesn't count now but if you're going to take a proper look at the fear angle you've got to include it because it really isn't any different now as it was then. There are a great many people who do peacefully follow the precepts of the Islamic faith. They far outnumber the violent extremists who believe in fear and intimidation to force their religion down everyone's throats. Islam is a peaceful religion. Sadly, it's just very badly misrepresented by the extremists and the media.

Plz dont judge Islam by today's Muslims actions.Let me clarify that Prophet Muhammad never started against anyone.Only when he was attacked, he used to defend the people.Even if u r attacked by someone,u will defend urself.Even in the wars,he had warned his companios abt killing of children,women& old people.Show me one leader who wouldn't allow killing of enemy's children and women.

Regarding WTC,the security is too high and with th einventions made, it is impossible for forces to be unaware of the planes coming & going in.We have seen in news tht when the WTC was attacked,Muslims in Palestine were happy. But, let me tell u,when it was hit, it was a day in America and night in Palestine.What was shown in news was Palestanians rejoicing and it was a day time. If it was done by Muslims,they were condemned by many other Muslims.Islam doesnot allow killing of people for no reason.It is only if people belonging to other religion start a war against Muslims,they should defend themselves and any normal human being would do that.

Why do you Christians think Christianity is a peaceful and loving faith? After all you have the crusades, the inquisitions, the witch hunts, the holocaust, etc... yet you deny those people who commit those actions were "True Christians". So if you can do that, then why can't Muslims do the same? You can't have it both ways.

Our religion doesnt advocate killing innocent people or treating others badly ....the one who kills 1 person is considered a killer of all humanity ..so what u are talking about has nothing related to Islam ..it is relatd to terrorism for political not religious aims ...ok...

I'm Muslim and personally I do not know any terrorist. Now you are getting onto the bit about being such and such by name only; for instance I can call myself a mushroom if I so please. The difference is the ones who live up to the name in its true meaning.
So I call myself a Muslim who believes Islam is peaceful merely because if my own actions. I cannot explain for everyone else.
They say that Jews are snobbish and penney pinchers so how would you like the masses to say that about you when in truth you may be a delightful person. It is dangerous to set labels.
