no one is ever useless! you are important to somebody!! you are obviously a competent individual, based on the correct grammar and spelling in your question. and you can type. those are skills! try researching jobs you can do over the internet, or maybe something like a courier or delivery driver. or a cook at a restaurant. or a postal worker. even janitorial work. i know these arent glamorous, but my point is, there are options. many things you could do that wouldn't require a lot of speaking. and do not forget that in america, we have equal opportunity employment. try contacting a social worker to see if they could assist you in job placement. please, always remember that God only gives someone as much as they can bear. do not lose hope, he has a plan for you. it just doesn't involve a lot of talking :) please feel free to contact me anytime via email if you need more advice, or just a friend. i check it every day. i myself have been through several years of therapy for severe depression and suicidal thoughts. i can honestly say, i know how you feel. i know how scary it is to feel this way. please do not ever think you dont deserve a long happy life full of love and friendship. you do. i am here for you anytime.

I think those people that said such hurtful things to you are pretty darn lame. Please don't despair. You are a vital, wonderful human being who is worthy of a good job and good bosses. I know an extremely successful physician who graduated from Stanford Medical School who still stutters/stammers. But this has nothing to do with his excellence and his heart to help those around him, especially students or those struggling with the professional world. Also, a growing field today is Occupational Therapy, which includes specialists in speech therapy or other therapies. That might be a good place to start, if it bothers you too much. ALL of you represents who you are, and obviously you are a person who cares about others and is intelligent and self-aware. You can be successful, just like the doctor I know that I mentioned above. I have a great respect for him and you. Please don't be so hard on yourself.

NO! You should not commit suicide. This is not a solution. I think stammers can be resolved to a certain degree through speech therapy now days and if not, most people are fine with speaking to someone who has a stammer. I have had experiences in dealing with people with stammers in my profession and they can communicate and they have jobs, people are very understanding about stammers! This is not a reason to hold you back at all, you can still get a job, doctor, lawyer, IT, secretary etc, whatever you want!!!!! Please honey, if you feel suicidal consult a psychologist or doctor immediately. I wish you much happiness and love :-)

first off, please DO NOT commit suicide, i really do believe that you have so much more to offer the world (someone once told me that the place with the greatest potential was a graveyard coz so many people died without ever having used what they had)...i know i am a stranger and i don't know you, but i do know that simply coz you are a human being, talking is not your only skill, i'm sure you have great strengths which you can use to build a career, its not all about being a people person, there are always people backstage that the "people" people would't be able to function without and also find out what causes you to stammer, if its an anxiety response to having to talk to people, i don't know, but remain calm and patient with yourself...if you are talking to someone and you start stammering and then you get frustrated with yourself it will only make the stammering worse so be patient with yourself, forget about the other person, just because you stammer it doesn't mean people don't want to hear what you have to say and it doesn't mean you don't have voice either!!!

Nooooo..........never think of sucide.

Your problem can be solved talk to therapist.

Agreed, communication is a big deed but not just verbal communication.Good communication means perception should be same what you mean to tell other.
Not all jobs need verbal communication.try to find a job as per your skills.if you are lacking something then on the other hand you must be having some other skill that you can use and explore.
Be confident and positive.world move more by attitude then communication.
Good luck

Stammer this thought out of your mind... If communication = success then some of the good authors would be presidents of some nations... since they are not... there is always room for all of us including you...

On the contrary the misfits of the 'world' have added more value to humans than anyone else...

so go for the KILL... I mean get on with life and put the preconcieved thought of failure behind you... if nothing else happens... at leat you have delayed your failure ;)

No.

See a speech therapist or read a book on how to get help with your problem. It is something that you can learn to get past.

Many successful and famous people have suffered from stammering and moved on. Have a look at the link for who they are.

I don't recommend or endorse whatever the site is trying to sell, by the way!

Look for a job that doesn't require communicating with others. Or, you could get speech therapy to work on your stammering.
Don't commit suicide over not getting a job. Things always get better when there is a problem.
