Being polite is key. They will also be watching how he treats you. Hopefully, he treats you like a lady all the time, and that is how he will treat you in front of your parents. They obviously wouldnt want to see him man-handling you. He should just be appropriate, polite, courtious, not over-talkative, and above all, he should treat you like a lady. dont try too hard, they will pick up on that and think he is hiding something.

Wow, that kind of depends on how weird your parents are, lol. They just did a Men in Trees episode that dealt with that very thing! But I would say, just be polite and deferential and nice, and if in doubt, be too formal and polite, and don't try to get too familiar at first, because it could easily come off as cocky. And have a good answer for what you plan to do with the rest of your life.

a bottle of wine is always a good opener, but honestly all that you told him should work, he just has to make sure its not like hes trying too hard! he must be well groomed though, not completely out of his comfort zone, so that it seems like hes respecting your parents! give him a leg up and tell him what your parents are into so that he can at least be able to talk with them about something that interest them, that always looks good, like hes made an effort! honestly though not much can be said as if he frets to much he will be nervous which will show and then your parents will wonder what he has to be so nervous about(well if they're anything like mine!).
i hope it all goes well and that your parents like him, he must already have browny points if hes made you happy! i have faith that all will be good and you both must too!
good luck!
xx

~ atarisrocks...

Have the boyfriend ask you 'How is your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ?'

Have the boyfriends tell you about his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Have the boyfriend explain how he sees the walk of your parents; with the Lord Jesus Christ.

As a Christian, all should be for the glory of the Lord.

If no one cares... you, the boyfriend, your parents, why would this question come up... perhaps to cover up other motives/feelings... I don't know.

Search your heart, atarisrocks... If your boyfriend is a good Christian, as well as yourself... you can see that you would both be equally yoked... I'm sure the parents would be more apt to bless the relationship.

~ 2Cr 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Don't ever believe in first impression. Just be himself! parent knows best.

make sure that you tell him all the things that they are both interested in such as sports, and hobbies. that way, if there is anything in common, they'll have a good common ground to begin with. if there is not much in common, make sure that he shows an interest in what they like, asking them questions...also, make sure to tell him to talk to them about what they do for a living, parents (esp dads) love it when a boyfriend shows interest in what they do, its like a form of flattery. hopefully, if your parents can see that you are in love with him, they will respect that, and learn to love him as well. GOOD LUCK!

Your parents want you to be loved, respected, cared for and protected. Anything he can do to communicate those intentions will make points with Mom and Dad.

Nope just what you already told him. Oh, pick the right clothes out also. Be well groomed in general (shave, hair cut, etc.)

He got to prove to your father he s strong enough to protect you and to your mother that he can be the father of your children.

Now if he looks that way naturally, no probem . Now if he dont fit in, make sure he does.
