I had a small filling done on one of my back teeth about a year ago. For the past few months it has been sensitive and I can't eat anything hot or cold on it. I went to the dentist recently and he took an x-ray of it and said it looks like there's no cavity but he said it looked like from the x-ray that my sinuses might be causing pressure on it. This tooth started to bother me more lately and now my ear and nose hurt, but these symptoms only appeared within the past week. I don't know if I should go back to the dentist because my tooth really hurts, or go see a doctor about my sinuses, or just ignore the whole thing. Everything thats bothering me is on the left side by the way. The right side of my nose and ear feel fine. But this tooth really hurts and its been going on for some time now.

I have had this. The sinuses are directly above the roots of the teeth, for some reason it tends to be one tooth that hurts. It sounds to me if you have a blocked / painful sinus and you need to take something for that. The reason that tooth is hurting could be because that was the most recent worked on. It's really up to you what you do but I would be inclined to go see a Dr and tell him what the dentist told you. Best of luck

It is possible for sinuses to affect your teeth. Weird, I know. However, normally when there is hot sensitivity it is an indication that you might need a root canal. You may want to get a second opinion.

Sensitivity can be caused by bleaching, if that is your case you can ignore it. If you haven't been bleaching and the sensitivity just started you may have a cavity and need to see your dentist.
