Do some deep breathing exercises. Get up, stretch, do a little jiggling, shaking etc. Wash your face with water. If you can get a whiff of fresh air, do so.

Take time periodically during your day to do stretch exercises or even deep-breathing exercises at your desk. Also, drink fresh water & if you get really tired, go splash cold water on your face & the back of your neck. I also get up and walk on two 15-minute breaks during the day. In addition, take a lunch break. Don't eat too much, maybe something light like a tuna salad & piece of fruit. I drink Lipton's diet peach tea that has no caffeine. It's refreshing, has no harmful items in it or you can also try Snapple drinks. They are delicious for lunch. Take a short walk after you eat. Go out and get some fresh air, if weather permits.

I work from my home office like 8-12 hours a day. Once an hour I stand up and do like 25 jumping jacks, push ups, lift dubmbells, stretch etc etc. It gets your blood flowing. I also Eat fish 3 times a week for the Omega 3 and take Ginko Biloba to increase blood flow to my brain.

I would say an energy drink....but since you said no caffeine...
Take a shower as a break, or work out (your heart rate increases, making you less drowsy), or talk a walk, usually the cold air wakes me up.

Make several short brakes involving physical activities, sit-ups, squats etc. It helps both concentration and your appearance :)
