Is there a phone number which i can use, to get in contact with an operator straight away at the DVLA in Swansea?

I need to ask them a few questions, and the last time i did it it took me ages to get to an operator

You will probably have to go through some of the options - normally something like; 1 new application 2 already registered - or something like that.

Listen to the first main set of options - normally in this list you can speak to an operator by pressing:

'a number' they specify,
'0' is often an operator if not or
as someone has previously said 'number/ #' to confuse the system.

* will only take you to the previous menu, so that wont work.

Have you tried emailing them, they should have a policy whereby all emails are answered with in 48 hour - so that would save you hanging on the phone.

There is no way to get a real person at the DVLA. It is infuriating. The website is pretty good for getting things done. Email them or write or for better service go to see your local DVLA office.

when u get through, and the menu says press 1 for this 2 for that press the hash key!
the voice should say 'sorry we did not recognise ect...'
press hash (#) key again and the machine will become confused and put you straight through to an operator!!

(Works with the dole anyways, pretty sure it works there too!...

Probably not. This sort of thing is rife and is trying to cut down the number of calls dealt with by real people.
