say you get pulled over in Mass with 4 ounces in the car. what would be be charged with? would you go to jail on first offense for awhile or could you be put on probation and fined, charged with possesion of class d substance and intent to sell. rehab? anyone know

alot depends on the attorney, a good one works wonders, a great one pulls miracles.. seen people walk having over 4 ozs. and a 3tier scale,with bags in various wts, in home with children...got probation cuz of clean record

It really depends where you live and the circumstances. Lets say you have a quarter ounce and are pulled over, that would be simple possession and anywhere from a fine to 6months on first offence. But if you had a box of baggies, they could call it possession with intent. If you have over a certain amount(varies from state to state) it could be a fellony. If you have a huge amount it would be called trafficing which has the stiffest penilty. So it all depends on the state and the situation.

Were you the one driving the car? Were you a passenger in the car? Is there clear enough evidence to show that the weed was yours? EASY!!! Possession of a Controlled Substance....and possibly with intent to deliver or manufacture<<

Our local drug dealer got in reality 2 years for 5 felonies!! (1 felony for Transportation of drugs; 2 felonies for possession to sell and 2 felonies for selling.) She got 5 convictions of 2 years each to be served concurrently!!! She'll be out in 6-12 months.
Sick system in California. She had a PUBLIC DEFENDER. If she had a real lawyer she most likely would have just gotten probation.
