Hello! Ideas for pictures eh? Myself I like to photograph trees, so have you tried doing a number of vertical shots with symetrical balance OR just a tad assymetrical? Have you done any nature shots like flowers but while on your belly? How about photographing the mundane? I did a vertical shot of this phone poll, but with the wire's lines and the poll I did it really good. Photograpy is a matter of seeing what others do not see, about experimenting and developing your skills. Be willing to experiment, make a few bad shots, and try new things. How about photographing your city's downtown area at dusk with the fading light is giving way to darkness. You may not be talking about photographs but paintings or drawings... just convert it and give it a try. Should it be drawing or painting, try this: Close your eyes and just relax. As soon as you see something in your mind's eye, then draw it to see what your subconscious is trying to tell you. It can be an eye opening and beneficial experience. Hope this helps.

This is an excellent opportunity for you practice your creative spirit... this procedure leaves the technical side and jumps into the creative side.

Get a notebook... not just any notebook, but one you can personalize and make into a photo notebook.

at the top of the page write: Brainstorm. Then arbitrarily list whatever comes to mind, even the stupid and silly... let your thoughtsw flow... and out of the list you may find many themes for taking photos.

I enhance photos in the realestate market and I have an ongoing theme of clouds... because a lot of times I have to add clouds or sky to an image that is over exposed. So clouds and sky are my ongoing theme... yours could be birds.

I take it you have or will have photoshop... when not taking images learn to enhance the ones you have taken

I'm partial to nature photography myself. A close up of the soft kiss of dew over a dormant bud, the twist of ivy up an oak tree, the gentle wash of sea foam lapping at the shore.... anything that catches my eye and heart. Find something you truly love.. and look for ways to express those emotions with the camera. Don't worry over the 'exact' science of photography. Just aim for an in focus picture and let the subject speak for itself.
