Depends on how long you want to store it. I'd just put it in the frig or on the counter with plastic wrap, etc., if it needed only a day or so.

For longer storage, I keep half-cut limes in a ziptop bag in my freezer all the time so I can add just a bit to salsa or other food... not have to go out and buy it or use a plastic lime.

I keep them also because they're really good for intestinal cramps, etc....strange as it sounds because I would have assumed that acidity would only make things worse, and maybe that's true for the stomach rather than intestines. Anyway, the "recipe" is just to (microwave-defrost first if frozen) squeeze the juice from a lime or half a lime into a cup, sweeten with sugar till it's drinkable, then drink down.... DO NOT add water --needs to be very concentrated. Really works like a charm.

(You can also squeeze the lime then freeze just the juice in a baggie -- or for several limes, put the juice in a ice cube tray and freeze then pop out and store in a ziptop bag in the freezer.... won't have the zest if you need it though.)

How To Cut A Lime

u could store it with a cling film in the refrigerator or u could keep it in an air-tight container in the fridge. best would be to use it as fast as possible & just prior to using it dip it in lukewarm water it will be easier to extract the juice.

I usually wrap it in cling film and put in in the fridge and make sure that I use it within 5-7 days

keep it inside a cup (the flat surface of the lime should face the surface of the cup).
