A friend of the devil can be a friend of yours, or even a friend of the Son of Man. However, friendship ends for all eternity on the day of judgement. Any friend of Satan will join him in eternal torment, and will find no rest day or night. Hell is a real place, not just a word.

He's a friend because you are submissive to him. Likewise, the devil is your friend because you offer your soul to him to be his slave for eternity.
