know this is a touchy subject, so hear me out, whether you agree with abortion or not.
yes abortion kills babies, but what would happen if abortion was made illegal?
3,000 babies are killed every day by abortion. What if they weren't? What kind of effect would that have on our population? What kind of effect would that have on our already crowded and abuse-filled foster care system? What kind of effect would that have on our goverment and taxes for the cost of welfare?
What kind of effect would that have on already bad-off women? Would they go even deeper into drugs and poverty, possibly even murder the children they didnt want in the first place? Would they try aborting their own babies with coat hangers?
Sure... maybe its sick, maybe its tragic...
But what would our country be like if abortion was illegal?
shouldnt we focus more on teaching our kids safer sex practices, and about waiting until they are ready and able to raise a child before having sex?

would NEVER advise a woman to have an abortion. I have seen the tragic emotional effects it has had on a few of my family members and friends. What I'm saying is... what would our world be like if every young, irresponsible, drug addict, abusive, etc., woman were forced to keep her baby? Sure, maybe she should take responsibility for her actions, but... overall... I think that if abortion were illegal, it could have some serious effects on our entire country. What are your thoughts???

to everyone who does not believe in abortion:
IF YOU DONT BELIEVE IN IT, DON'T HAVE ONE!! IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS IT SOMEONE TERMINATES THEIR PREGNANCY. GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON!!
with that being said, i believe that it's better for a woman to end her pregnancy than bring a child into the world that wasnt wanted in the first place. raising children is hard work, and unless you WANT to do it, leave it alone.
ps: even if abortion was illegal, it wouldnt stop. the women would just do like they did 40 years old. BACK ALLEY ABORTIONS. do we really want that? KEEP IT LEGAL, IT WILL KEEP IT SAFE!

"yes abortion kills babies," No, abortion terminates pregnancy, a pregnancy is NOT a baby, it is either a zygote, an embryo or a fetus. An abortion can NOT kill a baby...unless there is retroactive abortion done outside the uterus.
What will happen when abortions become illegal again? Yeah they were illegal before the 70s. Women of all ages who do NOT want to be pregnant for whatever reasons will go in search of ANYONE to do the "procedure" And ANYONE from "joe the butcher" to "Hank the mechanic" will be willing to take money from a woman, not that either one of them would have any clue as to what they were doing but hell a meat hook or the hook on the end of a tow chain will do the job. And if something went wrong and she bled to death right there on the butcher block in the shop or the floor of the garage they can always just dump the bodIES (don't forget the "baby") in the dumpster in the back alley and no one would be none the wiser. That's how they were done BEFORE the 70s, that's how they'll be done when they're made illeagal again.

I am a practicing Christian and I also believe that abortion should be made legal because children who won't get the love, and care they need in life, shouldn't be brought into this world. We have too many people in this world today that didn't get the love, and care that they needed when they were young. They will continue to suffer every day of their lives and cause many problems for other people.
People that don't want children do have sex and do produce babies, but that isn't something that can be changed unless these people want to change. From personal experience I can say "You can't change someone unless they want to be changed!"

From http://www.deathroe.com/Pro-life_Answers/Answers.cfm?ID=68:
"The pro-choice crowd has had over 30 years to weed out all the “unwanted people,” and no one can argue that they’ve been stingy in carrying out the death sentences. So far, they’ve butchered between 45 and 50 million babies and they continue to kill them at the rate of over 3,000 a day. Meanwhile, we are asked to ignore the fact that, since this holocaust began, America has suffered huge increases in teen pregnancy, homelessness, hunger, welfare, divorce, poverty, child abuse, spousal abuse, deadbeat dads, gangs, illegal drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, high school drop outs, and the list goes on and on.
The fact is, every single social problem which the pro-choice mob says will get worse if we make abortion illegal, actually became worse after we made abortion legal. Beyond that, the financial burden of these social problems is overwhelming. Any way you cut it, the American taxpayer is subsidizing the abortion industry.
However, let’s say for a moment that instead of getting worse our social problems had been helped by killing babies. Would that justify it? Do we really want to be the kind of country that uses child sacrifice as a tool of social engineering? Is the wholesale slaughter of innocent and defenseless people justified if it solves our problems? And if that is going to be our attitude, why kill the unborn? They are the one category of human beings who had nothing to do with creating these problems and whose death would not solve them.
The bottom line is, as a solution to social problems, abortion is ineffective and morally indefensible. It is also the ultimate example of selfishness. For proof, notice that no one ever volunteers to give their own life to solve social problems, they only insist that others do so."

I imagine if abortion was made illegal the world would get over populated. But look at it as just as many people die a day as there are births. But i disagree with thinking there is no hope for women that dont want kids and end up pregnant. I believe you can still have the baby and if you dont want it there is always adoption. It will also give the baby a trying chance in a life. Its not like you have to keep it. Plus i think if they made the law where it was illegal they would do somethign extra with helping women getting their tubes tied or hysterectomy. That way they could possibly keep a hand on overpopulation.

A woman has a fundamental right to rid herself of an parasite that feeds off her resources. And, yes, a zygote/fetus IS a parasite. Look up "parasite" in the dictionary...
As someone above me said...If you don't agree with abortion, don't do it!
Even if you outlaw it, people will still do it. That poor girl will die. That girl could be your cousin, your sister, your mother, your best friend.
By no means will I demean your personal views and beliefs because you are entitled to them, but you should be kind enough to afford me the same right.
How does that good ol' Christian saying go? Oh, yeah: "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."
I sure see a lot of stone-casting here...

Abortion could desire to stay criminal. there is on no account a condition the place a woman could desire to be denied get entry to to a secure abortion. If abortions have been outlawed, then you fairly could see 1000's of girls people death from back-alley abortions. Or alot of toddlers in plastic bags thrown in dumpsters!

you have made many valid points but no one is going to hear them they are to set in what they think is right for everyone and there side is the only side that matters
I am pro-choice
and your right all these kids start being forced to have baby's they don't want because these same people have seen fit to have sex ed removed from schools and we are not allowed to hand out birth control in schools and so many parents are not teaching there kids about sex
so with no choice but to have the baby's we have baby's with birth defects addicted to drugs
then these young moms find they cant support these baby's and what leave them in trash cans kill them
cps steps in and we have to crate homes for them then we end up with orphanages full of kids with no chance of becoming anything as adults

it's woman's choice
would you feel different if you where raped and became pregnant? your 11 year old was raped and got pregnant??
if you make it illegal then women will get it done illegally causing deaths or not get it done and cause unwanted children who are abused or in poverty.

maybe if it were illegal, women (and girls) would think twice before having casual, unprotected sex. It's way too easy to "get rid of it" if they become pregnant. Your question really got to me. I dont even know how to express what It made me feel. To even think about killing innocent children to solve our worlds "problems" is incomprehensible!! To say the least.
