i have been depressed for a lot time now... lately it has gotten worst do to my not eating... my ex boyfriend came and saw us @ skool and now he is going to be in trouble with his mom... i feel like i am losing all of my friends i am behind in my homework and i am pretty much behind in life..... what should i do to get out of this slump?...

If anyone knew this for sure, they should write a book and publish it, or call some universities. Reality is that there's no single or simple answer. It's different for everyone.

For some, circumstances just need to improve. Many times they're depressed, but don't have Major Depressive Disorder. For them, it's probably a general rough patch that they need to persevere through.

For others, chemical (psychopharmacological) intervention is needed too. They need drugs to help regulate the emotions (and subsequently the thoughts) that perpetuate depression.

Still others need therapy, maybe along with drugs, maybe without. Therapy can help people think about things in different ways as well as point out when their negative thinking makes sense and when it doesn't make sense.

Overall, people need a sense of hope for the future. There are many ways to find that hope, and many combinations of factors that will lead to it. You just have to find yours, and you're the expert on your life, so I think you'll get there. It takes time though.
