To me, this question doesn't even matter, for I know with all my being that Jesus Christ was crucified for the sins of the world.

Mark 27:35 "And they crucified him, and parted his garments..."

Doctrine and Covenants 20:23 "He was crucified, died, and rose again the third day..."

Between 559 and 545 B.C this revelation was given...

2 Nephi 25:13 "Behold, they will crucify him; and after he is laid in a sepulchre for the space of three days he shall rise from the dead, with healing in his wings; and all those who shall believe on his name shall be saved in the kingdom of God. Wherefore, my soul delighteth to prophesy concerning him, for I have seen his day, and my heart doth magnify his holy name."

I KNOW that Jesus Christ was crucified for the sins of the world. We have all the prophets as witnesses. We have our Christian brethren as witnesses. We have the Holy Spirit as the greatest witness.

It would definitely matter! There won't be any Christianity at all. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross defines Christianity. Without the cross, I am still miles away from God and a stranger to the common wealth of Israel. With the cross all is well with my soul.

If you want to destroy Christianity, take away the cross. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ begins with his death on the cross. If Jesus Christ did not die, the Resurrection is also an delusion. But thanks be to God, for Christ Jesus rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of Majesty on high making sure that every soul that he died for is received and brought to where he is!

Well as a Christian Jesus said that was the whole purpose of his life, to die in John 12:27Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

Why? John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believer in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus Christ was a solider a warrior against sin and the devil and his angels. As God's son and a solider he sacrificed his life so that all men can be delivered of sin and the eternal evil consequences of it.

Yes it does matter that Jesus did die and most importantly, that he rose from the dead. .

That's what the New Testament is about. Jesus did die on the cross for our sins and resurrected 3 days later. It's through Jesus that we are saved and by the Grace of God that we are forgiven.

It really doesn't matter how he died. Martyrs are a dime a dozen. What set him apart is that he came back.
I don't use the cross as a symbol of my faith. Some Christians can glorify the death part if they want to (to each their own, of course) but I like to dwell on the life that Jesus chose to spend on earth and the miracle of his return.

Of course it will matter, it is the central point of Christianity...

Who cares whether is was a cross as we know it with a cross piece or a simple stake, the shape of the piece of wood that the spotless Lamb of God was nailed to is not relevant and Alexandra below seems to miss the whole point of the fact that it is the atoning sacrifice that's relevant, without it we have no salvation, but thank God it is true, thank God it did happen...

Your question doesn't make sense in English, you'd better stick to Arabic. And Jesus DID die on the cross.

If Jesus Christ did not die and was not resurrected then He cannot be the King of Father's Kingdom. But since He did both then Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Meaning no disrespect but the question is so hypothetical as to be meaningless, right in line with

If humans had wings, would you be able to fly faster than I could?

Because humans don't have wings and Jesus did die on the cross, the conversation is meaningless. There are those who would like to do anything they could to weaken or even destroy christianity - for the past 2,000 years, when it has actually been ppracticed, it has proved a most inconvenient religion for those who want to practice theft, murder, gluttony, adultery, incest - the whole list.

Herod managed to behad John the Baptist because he was speaking the truth about Herod's style of living. Christians continue to do the same today when faced with abortion, euthanasia, war in pursuit of greed, casual sex - and those people who like those things don't want to hear voices in opposition.

If the death and resurrection are not real, then Christians are to be pitied more than any other human on Earth. Quoting from Paul here.

But have no worries, the Jesus Tomb does not contain the body of our Lord. He is in Heaven.
