You should get the cats spayed. Most areas have low cost or sometimes even free spay and neuter clinics. Often humane societies will have times when they will help with the cost for pet owners to have their cats and dogs spayed or neutered.
Cats in heat do sometimes get temperamental, and cats in heat and not bred, will keep going in and out of heat repeatedly.
Spayed cats are much healthier and stay in better condition than cats that aren't spayed. They also are far easier to live with than unspayed cats.
It would be totally wrong for you to get rid of the cats because they are in heat and in a quarrelsome mood because of it. When you take on the care of another living creature, you have the responsibility to that creature. In this case, your responsibility is to look for the fair just solution to the problem, not getting rid of the cats but keeping them in separate rooms for awhile if need be, while you work out a way to get them spayed as soon as possible. After spaying, it takes about 6 weeks for hormones to totally decline and then your cats will not have the feline version of PMS ever again!

Humm should your mom have been gotten rid of before she had you because her body was able and ready to conceive a child? That is what being in heat is, the hormonal state in which a cat is able to get pregnant and seeks to do so. Yes cats in heat can be grouchy especially if there are 2 and they feel competetive. This could have been prevented by spaying them. They can still be spayed while in heat but it is more complicated surgery and will probably cost a little more. Meanwhile keep them in 2 seperate rooms if they are fighting with each other. If they are not fighting eachotehr leave them togetehr so they can be company and confort to each otehr. And if you don't want kittens be sure each room has a door and that the door to that room is never ever opened when the outside door to your house may be or become open. Give then food water and litter boxes. If they are yowelling try a radio to drown out the sound. It will be over in a week or so and you will have the opportunity to have them spayed before they come into heat again. And be nice to them they feel moody, ouchy, upset, grouchy, miserable, lonely, and in need of attention.
I know it sounds as if I am fussing at you. I am in a way. Getting a pet is a lifetime committment to have this animal be a part of your framily that you love and care for. We all have bad days and weeks. On those days and weeks we all hope the other members of our family care and help and don't throw us away.

Getting rid of the cats because they're on heat? You definitely are not a responsible owner, why would you take on pets if you evidently are not going to be taking good care of them and drop them so quickly when they become a bit difficult.
You should have them de-sexed, there is a bad enough problem as it is with cats breeding far too much, it will make them less aggressive also.
Maybe you should take them to someone who will properly love and care for them not drop them when they aren't how you want them to be.
Next time you want a pet ask your self why? is it because of their looks or you think a cat would be cute and cuddly? or is it because you have the patience , the money and are responsible enough to deal with a pet. I am sorry to be so blunt but you do not sound like a responsible pet owner

I would say get them spayed asap! Even if they are in heat, the doc can still do the surgeries. I know it's a pain in the butt to have to go through this. Don't get rid of them. Once they are out of their heat, they will be back to normal. Just get them fixed as soon as you can so this won't happen again.
I don't understand how some of these people bash someone that doesn't know about things like this. There is no need of that at all. That is how a person learns, by asking questions, duh.

You could get them spayed. Unlike dogs, you can get a cat spayed while it is in heat and even very early into a pregnancy. Take them in now and never worry about them going into heat again.

you want to locate a thanks to get that cat spayed at modern-day, and until eventually then you save HER interior. in simple terms because you're irresponsible, you do not have your cat conflict through for it. you want to address her being inheat interior. you're putting her life in probability, different cats' lives in probability, and the kittens she would have (and could no longer be having) in probability, and including extra to the overpopulation, and also you'll be to blame for the deaths of all the kittens and cats that come from this subject that are killed in shelters because there are not sufficient houses for them. All that because it annoys you that she meows a lot at the same time as she's in warmth? you should no longer be ALLOWED TO HAVE A CAT. era.

sure why not and when your teen-age son or daughter goes on a hormonal charged rampage get rid of them too ........
now to be serious .. YOU'RE A PET OWNER ? do you have any idea of what it is to be a RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER ? WOULD you LIKE to be a responsible PET OWNER .. then take the advice of many here and get your pets speyed and start being responsible.
you don't get a pet JUST for the easy fun times .. you get one for the long haul.....and you know what .. It's worth it in the long run ..
they are a part of your family .. not just a play thing to disgard when it all gets too hard or complex for you.
EDIT FOR THE OTHER PEOPLE ANSWERING THIS QUESTION... I think we are all wasting our time with this moronic troll .. have a look at the other question they asked...

don't get rid of them. They aren't doing anything bad - it's natural for cats that are not fixed to go into heat. What I would do is get them fixed! My husband and I have 3 cats, and our vet said studies show cats that are fixed tend to live longer and healthier lives.

It is not their fault they went "into heat" now. As a responsible pet owner you should have checked into getting their operations prior to their going "into heat"-the vet can make a pretty good estimate of when that will be. Why would you get rid of them? They are inconvienent to you now because of your lack of any feeling of responsibility toward their needs.

If it were me, i would not spay them. You can try a few techniques tho. Get a spray bottle, fill it with cold water, and squirt them in the face when they act up, or, you can get some small animal flea drops and put a drop in the back of the neck and base of the tale of one. But be for i did any thing i would clip their nails so they tare anything up or each other.
