There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

First I would say that preaching and teaching are two different things. A woman is most effective when she teaches her children good behavior, no one would question that.
I do not think a woman should be a pastor of a church, not because she couldn't handle the job, but because men couldn't handle her doing the job. Also see Paul's arguments in Acts. Once you discard Paul's arguments as not valid, you are forced to call into question the entire Bible. I will not do that.
The same churches that ordained divorced men in the 70's, and female pastors in the 80s are the same churches that are now ordaining homosexual pastors today. It's called a slippery slope.
So, what is the heart of the Lord on the matter? Should we, as women, scream that that is not fair, should we beat our chests and demand the pulpit? Or should we instead be faithful and HUMBLE ministers in our own homes? Which one would the Lord prefer?

The real truth is in the Word of God and I know you know that but for some reason you don't want to accept it.
The Bible tells us that women should not preach in the church. This is true and should be done. A woman on the other hand is not restricted from teaching. A lot of confusion is in these words.
There is no reason to win souls for God. God already owns all the souls He created.
I will leave it at that.><>

Women have just as much to offer by their leadership as men do. Maybe more since they have more experience in interpersonal relationships, child care, and diplomacy. You've heard about those televangelists who became corrupt after gaining financial and influential power, right? How many women would become bi-sexual druggies if they had the same authority? Very few, I think. Leadership requires some humility as well as authority and the male ego has trouble with humility and servitude to a Higher Power. I'm a pagan and it's commonplace to see women in positions of authority and responsibility.

It's a well known fact that the Bible says that women have to remain silent in church.
It does leave open the option of preaching in sign language...

I'm an ordained minister, but I don't belong to a church or prosleytize. I feel that people that need guidance are guided to me when advice or comfort is needed.
I feel that women are more nurturing and have a role in the clergy as spiritual guidance "counsleors" so to speak for other women or children. We are more approachable and easier to trust.

I think the same people who hold that women should not preach, hold that they should not have property of their own or final say over their children. Women are equal and sometimes superior than men in their compassion and knowledge. Why deny the world their gifts?

I'm a preacher. I'm a woman. We don't live under the curse. Women being "inferior" was part of the curse. I'd rather live free.
