i have had the worst day i have had in a looooooong time today...i need cheering up...but i dont know how to get myslef in a better mood...i am 14 and cant drive anywhere...so does anyone have any ideas of what i can do?

Well, it's pretty late, so i am assuming that you cannot call a friend or anything. I don't know how close you are to your parents. I don't know if you would wake someone up and talk to them about what is going on. If you have some soothing, happy music that you can listen to, try that. I don't know what happened, but sometimes talking about it helps. If you need someone to talk to, please email me. I'm kinda an insomniac, and I'll be awake for alittle while. Give me an email if you want to talk. Seriously. Go to my profile and just email me through yahoo answers. Also, if you have a journal and want to write out your feelings, sometimes that can help as well. Do something that makes you happy!

if you are angry, this is a great way to rid yourself of the energy that drains you:

go into your bedroom, pile all the pillows up on the blankets, and begin to punch them, all the while swearing and hollering out the words you would have liked to say when you got mad but did not. take the pillows and bash them against the wall if you like, too.

here's another great thing to do when angry: find some project around the house, the ickier the better. go at it with a frenzy. do it with the right stuff, but get into it and tell yourself that you are killing that damned task.

i'm a businesswoman. i've owned by own corporation for decades. i always have to be calm with my clients. however, one day i had one of those worse days of all. back then, we didn't have cell phones or voice mail, but we had pagers. i left an outgoing message on mine that said something like this: 'i'm sorry that i cannot call you back today unless it is of dire emergency. i just had the stinkiest day i can remember. please, leave me your number and let me call you tomorrow, when i will feel much, much better!' you know, they loved it! i heard peals of laughter the next day.

well there are tons of things to do. listen to music, watch your favorite movie or tv show. take a hot bath and just relax or u could take a walk outside and just walk around and nothing to care about. Try doing things that make u have fun. I felt the same way last year when I was 14 dont worry life gtes better. If u need someone to talk to just email me. just remember that its only one day and u still have the rest of your life to live, so dont waste it. have fun. hope u feel better. good luck

Listen to some music that always puts you in a good mood. Dance music is great for that. Play a video game or read a book and just try to zone out.

Have a nice bath, give yourself a manicure/facial etc. Read a book or magazine you love, watch your favourite movie. Do anything that you really enjoy, something that makes you happy and makes you feel good about yourslelf!

Sorry you had such an awful day. It's late, though, and tomorrow is a school day. Why don't you take a warm shower, go to bed & go to sleep listening to soft music?

you need to get involved in some activities that exert physical energy...sports, dance, swimming etc...14 year olds should be too tired to care at the end of the day...go help an old person or something.

if we knew why your day was bad, we can suggest things better.

but if you want to cheer yourself up and make yourself happy, just think of the people who love you and the people who have sacrificed something for you. your family of course.

just remind yourself of the good things YOU did and the times people have told you thanks or that you made a difference.
think about the people who need you and are alive to see you.
