Some people grow up in a country where they are taught from pretty much day 1 that there is no God, it is a terrible thing and has a terrible influence on society but that is how a human cannot believe in God, being taught year after year that there is no God and never having a chance to find out otherwise and your life does not have meaning or a point but they go on and do their duty it is a sad thing to see and experience

Well I agree with you in one sense there has to be a starting point but why does it have to always be explained as being a GOD? This same GOD who is supposed to be ever loving .We can at least prove that not be true. His own words tell us that much. Its undeniable even though most people will say either one or two things; dont take it literally or we cannot question his motives but that is just denial and not thruth.
It could very well be something else that created us. An alien race, a machine , an energy entity or something else. I don't think science can simply explain it away with a big bang theory or a so called evolutionary claim either. Those ideas are as far fetched as the theory of GOD is to me. However, I do think the creaion theory is more sound in a sense just not by what we think.
You ask why cant we just feel it in our hearts etc, because it isn't real for me, what is real to me is what I can see and what I can feel and not what I hope I can. There is a difference.
What I do know to be true is this, if there truly is a GOD and one day he does come for me I will open my heart but I still expect some explanations for some of the things I think he needs to answer to. Child Abuse, war, etc....the list goes on, IF this is what he expects of me, then I expect the same. You can call that disobedience or arrogance and that is what most people fear , don't, I accept that responsibility but I will not fear something that acts worse than I do.

I for one have questions on how the universe came to be, the end of the universe and what's after that. Some god made everything simply isn't a good answer for me. Why the need for proof rather than have blind faith? Well mankind has invented so many mythical figures, so if you believe in God, why not believe in elves, gremlins, Santa or the Easter Bunny? And no, I will never pray to your god, because Christianity is responsible for alot of what is wrong in this world and I will not spread such diseases. If you sought the truth, and weighed all the options, you would see the truth. Science's evidence= logical theories, some have been proven some time after coming to be. Christianity's evidence= A book and blind faith, no credible evidence has ever been produced. Preaches intolerance, against gays and jews in the past, brainwashes people into thinking perfectly normal instincts (sex) are abnormal. Attempts, and sometimes succeeds in forcing its beliefs on people by ways of laws trumped up by propaganda; look at the age of consent law and prostitution laws and think of any reason why these laws should exist or be as strict as they are now and do actual scientific research to see if there is anything to support those reasons. Chances are you won't find anything because they're nothing but propaganda intended to support christain beliefs. Don't take my word for it, research it yourself. Seek the truth and ye shall find.

As a person of deep faith, even though, I'm sure you won't say that, I'm Pagan and believe in many gods and goddesses. I also believe in evolution. More or less I believe the high power thinks like we do so it would not start something at the end. Just as a artiest starts a painting at the beginning so did the piece of art we know as earth. Working and building till it becomes a masterpiece. The powers are not done and may never be. My gods and goddesses show themselves to me everyday. I to feel peace and believe that my patron goddesses saved my life when I almost died. If something as a scientific explanation it dose not mean it is not a miracle. I could never understand why christian can never see that.

If this "God" you're talking about is so loving, why, then, does He allow the slaughtering of innocent children? Why does He allow children to feel so much pain, in the world, through different cultures, and society? Sure, people make choices in their lives, but if this God is so powerful, why doesn't he do something other than allow these terrible things to carry on in this world? He has the power to stop this, and because there is NO "solid proof" that he exists, there are some who would simply say that "faith" doesn't stop the wars or violence, pain and suffering....
God isn't as kind and loving as we'd like to think....he's cruel and allows people to live thier lives in fear, with biblical statements about "going to Hell" and reading "Revelations" alone, says enough to want anyone to be 'scared into religion'....
It's not for me, man...it's a false belief system that makes you believe something that may not even exist. What happens if there is NO God, and all these bible-thumpers go and die off, and there is nothing waiting for them on 'the other side'?? I'd be pretty bummed out knowing that after I die, there is only complete darkness, but I know there is possibly something after death, that awaits us, but it may not even come from this "God"...
Who knows..I'm a "see to believe" kind of person, though...and I haven't seen this "God", so I don't believe.
I do have a "Higher Power", that I believe in, but its name isn't God!

I believe that we all deep within ourselves know and feel the presence of God's Holy Spirit. It becomes our choice to accept God or reject Him.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ stands at the door and knocks, but it is up to us to open the door and let Him in.
There is no place on this Earth today that a person can go and not hear about the saving grace that Our Heavenly Father provides us through His Word Jesus Christ. No where.
Also, God puts a stupor on some of His children least they accept and He must heal them.
Some are chosen from before the foundations of this world age. Some are required to make a choice. God has reasons for what He does and we must let God be God.
After Satan comes soon in the role of Anti-Christ, the instead of Christ, then Our Lord the true Christ Jesus will return at the seventh trump. You will see this in this generation so get ready. Those who refuse Him will see Him as well but it will not go well for them at this time. They will wish that they could choose rightly then but will pray that the rocks and mountains will fall on them and hide them from the face of Jesus Christ. Its sad to think about it when you have the truth of God's Word inside of your very being.<><

I don't believe in God or science. I just believe what makes sense. Neither religion nor science can give us all the answers to the world's questions. I don't even believe the world is real, it's just one big illusion. "I" doesn't exist. "I" don't have a self, soul, or spirit.
So, I've found an alternative to a beginning, and that is the world is not "real". I bet I'll get a thumbs down for this because people don't agree with me, but this is what makes sense to me now and this is what I believe.

A. Life not having a point doesn't automatically mean there must be a god. Maybe life has no point.
B. For how the inorganic matter became organic:

C. Prayer is completely useless. Just ask all the people who died in all the tragedies you can think of. Especially the 6 million chosen people in WWII. Do you think they prayed just a little?
D. Birth is not a miracle, before modern science, it was an extremely dangerous event often ending in death for both mother and baby. It still is in less developed countries.

Where did your silly God come from? That idiot brain of yours that's where it came from and that fantasy boogie man Satan must have came out of your butt. You are so afraid he is going to jump up and take a bite of it if you dare to reason. Do you think you can just try and confuse the facts and eliminate science with your silly ranting and a belief system that wouldn't stand up to a cub scouts analysis. How can a person who calls them self a human believe in God? I think it it's because you are not far enough removed from your cousin the Chimp.

Maybe the Q is not about if anyone believes in God?
Lets get one thing strait! You are life, therefore you are real!
Personally i am temid about the subject because i canot blame non other then myself for the current state of the human condition.
Faith is good, try that.
I personally am still tring to feel like there is anything other then myself.
