I usually wash my hair every other day. If I go any longer, however, my hair tends to get really greasy and I develop this terrible itch. My scalp gets so agitated and I can't figure out why. It isn't just during the winter, or summer, or any other particular time of the year.. just when it gets greasy. Anyone have any suggestions on what might help? The itching sometimes gets to the point where I'm scratching the spot raw.. and I don't want to go see a dermatologist unless I really need to. Let me know, thanks!

When it's greasy, it's easier to get dirty. That's why it's itchy.
Use one of those anti dandruff shampoo. Although you may not have dandruff, it can help reduce the grease.

Well itchy because of dead skin cells and maybe clogged pores. The best natural thing is called henna, it's middle eastern... it's a natural dye but also good for dandruff and head aches and the skin... Good luck

It probably gets itchy because of the clogged skin pores on your scalp. Please, go see a dermatologist about the itchy scalp if it doesn't get better soon. Take care.

I have the same problem - seborrhea - the head and shoulders shampoo in the dark blue bottles works great to control the itch.
Once its under control yu can alternate with another shampoo
