From June 1st to November 30th is the hurricane season, but that doesn't mean there will always be hurricanes the whole time.
Barbados had an unexpected tornado in Wildey area or something and it didn't last long and it only happened last month.

Hurricane e Season is the period from June 1- November 30 for storms to form in the Atlantic, however, even though it is Hurricane Season we do not necessarily experience constant rains or high winds. During the summer you can still enjoy a nice vacation without having second thoughts.

Officially, hurricane season stretches from June 1st to November 30th, and hits not only the Caribbean islands but also parts of Mexico, Florida and the Texas coast. Within that time frame, August to October are peak months.

I'm not sure if this is true but my husband is always trying to convince me to buy a vacation home and insists that the southern caribbean is hurricane free.

Last year was very quiet, but the official dates are as stated already - June 1 - Nov 30. The year before we went well into January with named tropical storms and had to start the alphabet over again.
