Because they have doubt. Centuries ago they would build ships to sail around the world to find out if the world was round or square as a result of this many lives were lost. It was so simple just to go to the bible and read in Genesis that the world was round.

I'm sorry but as a scientist I have to interject. Most scientist could care less about the Bible...for one we know not to take such things literally especially when there isn't any clear evidence to back up anything in the Bible. Furthermore, scientists do not go out of their way to disprove Christian Doctrine. In fact, Christians will take a hop, skip, and jump to attempt to disprove the clear facts that scientists provide…after years of research I might add. It's actually kind of sad and always laughable...millions of Christians do not believe in dinosaurs because they were not mentioned in the Bible…even in spite of fossils (LMAO). Christians cannot accept that there is more than one way to explain our existence. You see in the world of science we don't need faith we have facts.

Thats the nature and job of a scientist... to question, to challenge and to discover what is the truth.
- They don't just challenge the Bible, they also challenge other texts as well... veracity of historical claims, truth about medical or herbal claims ( even fat busting supplements)... so there... I doubt scientist sit together in some far off canteen and decide .."Hey! lets denounce the Bible"... Even if they did... if the Bible is infallibly the word of God... there should be NO FEAR if anyone challenges a work that is supposed to be PERFECT and FLAWLESS.
- even in Buddhism, the Buddha said to his devotees for any teaching present and future, to challenge whatever teachings they receive to verify its truth. He knew that through the ages, his teachings could be misrepresented, mistranslated or even mis quoted. So he adviced people to really think for themselves... not just follw blindly based on Teacher Seniority, Lineage age or heresay.

I think the majority of scientists are too busy to really give much thought to the Bible.

It is completley natural to question what you are taught. You are assuming that scientists go searching to shoot down the Bible. Perhaps scientists are looking for validation to what they were taught. It's the facts that don't add up.

That's strange what comic book did you get that out of. I've never known a scientist to question the Bible. I hope you are not calling these Atheists on here scientists.

Why does Christianity always fight with science and reasoning? Buddhism accepts science for what it is and lets the scientist explain the origin of the universe.

Sometimes, to prove it. Scientists are normal people before they are anything else. Therefore, some believe in religion and some do not.

There is no conspiracy. Science doesn't try to question the bible. Science makes deductions based on evidence. There is very little evidence of the validity of the bible.
