if he says he doesn't trust you on a night out with some friends even though you have never done anything that would/should make your man suspicious.

No it's not okay at all. That's VERY controlling. If he's like that you should seriously leave him. It's completely wrong for someone to try to control your social life. That sort of attitude is also a sign of someone who might become abusive in the future.

It's a persons natural instinct to be suspicious...especially if they were cheated on before. Trust is definetely earned with time. You have to REALLY get to know each other. I guarantee you..if you invite him out a few nights with the girls and he sees you're just having fun he'll back down but make sure you give him the same respect.

No it is not ok. Trust is the only thing that holds a relationship together. There will be many more problems in the future that without trust will bring ruin to both of your lives. Why suffer? Tell him to grow up and get over it.

its probably not suspicion that's the problem here. He has trust issues to a degree but he probably doesn't trust other men. Many women go out to clubs and have one to many and are not themselves and men there are able to prey on them easier. He is worried that's the main thing here. He should trust you to go out but it doesn't mean he is not going to be worried sick. If it affects him this way why not let him tag along if he wants to.

It's not ok. If he truly loves you, then he should trust you, and same goes for you. You should let him hang out with his buddies on regular basis. If during those times either one of you finds someone better, then I guess you weren't meant for each other anyway.
