Only had 1 car which is a renault megane 1.9 diesel.
I just had a big problem as my timing belt went 90 miles away from home.i got it back nearly a week later. At the time was at work so had to get someone to pick it up for me,when i got home and tried it it still didn't work.Garage said it must be the battery
so i bought a new one, still didn't work, back to the garage turns out i also had an earthing problem. In the end a week and half without a car and costing me nearly £600 and when i checked it this morning it does start ok now.
hey apart from that no problems.

In terms of miles and years of use, the best was a 1983 Vauxhall Nova - purchase price £150 for 5 years/120000 miles NO breakdowns. The worst was a 1979 Chevy Monza, £500 purchase price, never completed a long journey without something needed fixing.

The worst car I have ever had (and I've owned more than 20 over the years) was a Citroen 2CV. It broke down 2 minutes after I handed a bloke £600 for it. I walked back to the house where I bought it and the bloke had already scarpered.

I spent loads of money on it to try to get it just to work and in the end I sold it for - yes, £600 - to someone else.

It was TOTAL CRAP.

Best car I've owned is one of two, my MGF which although people will say is a hairdresser car, it's a cheap way to have convertible sportscar fun without license endangering performance. The other was my 97 Integra Type R. Fantastic fizzy engine, truly exploitable chassis and legendary honda build quality.

Worst car has got to be the Fiat Stilo Abarth 2.4, a whopping 9 return visits to the dealer in 6 months.

Probably the best car I ever had was a 'C' Reg Toyota Corolla the thing started first time every time and sailed through every M.O.T.

And the worst car has to be the Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 amazing car to drive sticks to the road like sticky stuff to a blanket, but unfortunately the french pile of sticky stuff spent more time on the drive broken then hugging the road around the corners.

Hi, good question!

Best car is my current 02' porsche 996 turbo with slight ruf modifications to exhaust and suspension.

Before that i had a TVR tuscan, awful piece of crap - lost shed loads of money and in the end i just wanted rid of it as i got nothing but grief when i drove it.

Have had succession of GTI's, Clio Williams, Escort RS2000's, Astra GTE's and my favourite of all cars and even beats the porsche for smile per mile is a peugeot 205 gti 1.9...

My first car was a vauxhall chevette in 1987, was black with white weller wheels, twin carbs and flames up side - chav!

The best car I have ever had is my present day 1999 Toyota Avalon. The worst car I have ever had was my 1966 Volkswagen Squareback. I went through three engines in one summer. Because it was a Type III, parts were very hard to get.

Best car ever Audi 80 Coupe Quattro..D Reg amazing car we put over 180,000 miles on it and it had done 56,000 when we bought it.. We drove it successfully in all weathers and it was especially reliable.. never failing to start or ever breaking down. We were still on the original clutch when we sold it on! It was very sad when we had to let it go.. Cracking car... Worst car a ford fiesta my first car. Really lousy windscreen wipers in the wet.. no grip felt vulnerable on all road surfaces, no road handling so corners were interesting! just a baked bean can on wheels really very poor quality
