It is safe if it is done rarely. I wouldn't recommend taking the two together if you must take both, try to separate them by a few hours. I am assuming that the Percocet is for actual physical pain and not recreational use, of course. If this is a one time deal, I wouldn't worry about it. Having migraines and being on anti-anxiety medication, I often run into a similar dilemma. I think it is fine unless you have been diagnosed with a condition that requires you to check with your doctor. Definitely speak to him/her in the morning, but for now if you are in a great deal of pain and you're perfectly healthy, I would say go for it. Missing a dose of Xanax will just cause you withdrawal.

you should never take two medications at the same time without first talking to your doctor. And the percocet you refer to is most likely 5/325. What is the reason you feel you need to take both at the same time? xanax is an anti-anxiety and percocet is an analgesic. If you really need to take them "together," seperate them by at least an hour.

well, the way i understand it is that taking multiple medications at the same time are dangerous.
if your Dr. said it was ok, then you should be fine.
