My great toe nail has suddenly started to curve inwards which is causing pain and puss also. I have no idea how this happened. The only reason I can think of is that it is due to my sitting with folded legs while nursing my baby. Before my baby was born, I never use to sit in that posture for long time. I have already faced nail bed infection with other toe and it was very painful. Please advise if this is nail bed infection or not. How to cure this problem. I heard nail bed happens due to water but how can it cause my nail to curve inwards. My brother has the same problem with both his toes.

blech. I hate this problem. My toe nail is like that too. You should go check a doctor with that, because there might be an infection inside. What someone reccomemended me to do was get iodince salt (just a few teaspoons), and very warm water. Put your feet into the tub, than put the iodine salt in the water. I'm not so sure if it will help you, but it did for me. I'm sorry I can't be anymore helpful! Good luck!

I know when I had problems with my toe nails growing inward or in a weird direction, I was told to cut my toe nail in another direction so that the nail would focus on growing to fill it rather than grow back to how it was. This was a good solution to if the corners of my toe nails were too sharp and grew into my skin, then I would cut a v towards the middle and it grew to fill that instead of jabbing my skin.
