I take those people very seriously--the mentally ill can snap violently at any time--isn't that special?

More people should take you seriously. I mean come on, Satan IS the reason for everything bad in the world. Well, except for David Hassellhoff's music, well blame that on the Germans.

People are sick of religious zealots. All of our problems have nothing to do with Satan. We F up on our own accord. Blaming Satan is just another way for humans not to accept responsibility! Why don't we all find out who the culprits are to our problems and stop blaming non-existent co-conspirators? You will be surprised to find out that the problem just might be you all a long.

For two reasons. 1. They do not believe in Satan or God.
2. They misinterpret a lot of what they here. Christians can not blame Satan for the things they do. Yes, Satan did create the first temptation and yes, he is still working on tempting people today...but....Man is still untimately responsible for his own choices.
No one has the right to say...The devil made me do it!

The real issue is your own inability to deal with life's problems, therefore, you constantly blame mythological figures such as Satan, for all your troubles.
In addition, people will always make fun of those who believe in such things as Leprechauns, Angels, and the Loch Ness Monster, without evidence. If there is no evidence for a claim, then accepting it is irrational.

Because even religious fools understand that mankind has supposedly been given free will. Satan may tempt you to commit senseless and evil acts, but if you succumb to his beguiling ways it's your own fault.
Take responsibility for your actions, behave in a kind and rational way, and both religious and secular people will treat you with respect.
Blaming your mistakes on a mythical creature will earn pity, condescension, ridicule, etc. Pretty much the opposite of what you seem to be looking for.

lol what proof do you have of satans existence? Now tell me what proof you have of his involvement. Then I will take you seriously. It's so sickning to hear people blame there problems on the devil. At least go with the nature of man or something if youre going to go down the mythology path.

Definitely Satan has a lot to do with bad things people do. The Bible calls him the ruler of this world(John 12:31) and "the god of this system of things" (2 Corinthians 4:4), and it says that "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."(1 John 5:19). Also Revelation 12:9 says he "is misleading the entire inhabited earth" But not always is everything directly a result of Satan.
Yes, he is the one all wickedness has come from, but people can make their own choice. They can choose to do what's right or they can choose to go Satan's way.
Sometimes people will try to downplay the influence of the Devil on this world though, and that is a dangerous thing. The Bible warns us at 1 Peter 5:8 "Keep your senses, be watchful. Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone." Satan uses "machinations" or crafty acts to mislead people and draw them away from doing what is right and serving God. (Ephesians 6:11-13) And even Jesus taught his followers to pray to be delivered from the wicked one. (Matthew 6:13)
So definitely, Satan is a strong influence on people in this world, but we also can choose to take our stand against him, which will help us to do good. James 4:7,8 says: "Subject yourselves, therefore, to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you....."

Because you mess your own life up enough. Why would Satan need to help? We do a good enough job of it ourselves, most of the time. So it seems funny that you think you would be sooooo important as to think Satan would actually waste him time on you when there are bigger things for him to be messing up.

If you want to blame it on someone, blame Adam, he was the one who brought the curse of sin down upon everyone. Satan doesn't make you do anything, he usually sticks to the whole peer pressure thing, whispering into your ear that its cool, and fun, and it's your own fault if you listen to him, noone elses.

Because we make our own choice as to whether our actions are harmful or benevolent... Eatting enough fat or bad cholestoral to give us a heart attack for example... is our own choice, the devil did not stick a roast meat on his trident, grill it and force it down our throats.
People who blame Satan or God for their problems or calamities do not take responsibility for their own lives... but its funny how when good things happen... it is most likely they won't blame anyone but attribute it to THEIR hardwork, and (softly said)...god
