if three guys went to a hotel and eachone of them paied 10$ for the room? that would be equal to 30$... then the room wasnt that much so the hotel returned 5$ by the busboy... so he took 2$ and gave the guys 3$ that would be 1$ for each... so each one paied 9$ ... here the total would be 9*3=27$+2=29$ (not30$) so where does the 1$ go?

The room was for $25 so each guy paid $8.33 the busboy returned $1 to each guy, as a result the total amount becomes $8.33+$1=$9.33 (each guy) so the three of them paid $27.99 i.e. $28 and the busboy kept $2 as tip so $1 didnt go anywhere but was always there... nice riddle lol

That's easy. There is no 27 (3 x 9). That's a fictitious number. It doesn't exist.
In fact, the men spent 25. They got back 3 and the bellboy kept two. 25 plus 3 plus 2 is 30. No 27 involved

K i get it.......the 2 dollars is part of the 27 because the hotel costs 25+2=27 and then a dollar for each guy...its not 27+2 its 25+2!!!!!
