Australia is such a diverse country with plenty of activities to keep you very busy. It also depends on what you prefer weather wise.

Right now its the tail end of summer - although its been a fairly cool summer this year. Average temps of 28C in the day & 15C at night.

Autumn & Spring are my favourite times, lots of colour, good weather for travelling & in most cases its the cheaper time to travel.

A good guide to use would be Lonely Planet - In my mind they are the best guide books around.

Australia is a large place with varied weather. Depended on where and when you go you can have a incredible time or a miserable time. So I would suggest deciding on the type of vacation you would enjoy;surfing, Great Barrier Reef etc. and then find out the weather outlook for those locations. www.letsgotoaustralia.com has a free e-book that has concise information on the weather in Australia. Have a great trip!

Australia is a big place that stretches from 40°S in Hobart to 10°S in Darwin. Summer is hot. It is wet in the north and along the east coast but dry through the south and west.

Winter is magnificent through the north and the east coast but wet and cool to cold in the south and southwest.

It really depends what you want to see and do. If your heart is set on climbing Uluru, don't go there in January. July or August are the months for you. If you want to catch the Festival of Sydney with the free concerts in the Domain, you have to go in January.

Work out what you want to do and the time you have to do it. Then decide the best time of year for those activities. If you are into skiing and diving on tropical reefs, you can do both in August with great weather for each activity.

Use the Climate page on the Bureau of Meteorology web site to help you decide

Any time Mate, but summer is very hot, up north its hot most of the year, and down south is best during Easter or spring.
But Tasmania is almost OK all year round, but can be very cold in winter, summers are not boiling hot!!
Australia is the best country to visit any time!

it depends on where your going. It can be humid down south in the summer but very dry in the north. there is always something to do in australia regardless of the weather.

In my opinion - March/April because it's usually really nice sunny weather but not too hot like it can be in summer. Autumn is my favourite time of year here :)
