I wonder what the rest of the community thinks about these answers, because I am having trouble choosing the best one. So I'll put it to a vote.

I don't necessarily think that. I really don't know why the entire universe was created, but I think the entire earth was created just for human beings.

Some scientists who also happen to be Christians believe that all of the universe was necessary to give earth the exact enviornment that would support life. For example, if the sun had been just a little closer or a little further away, our planet could have been nothing but ice on one hand or a burning hot place on the other. The same thing holds true for the existance of gravity. The size of the planet and the sizes of the other things in the universe all work together to create what we have. Without our specific gravity, we could not have the atmosphere that we need to breathe etc. As to whether or not everything was for man alone, I don't think we or anyone can give that guarantee. God knows what he is doing and if he has chosen to create life elsewhere that is his right. We just dont know yet.

The Bible gives specifics about our earth and the creation of it. As human beings we logically know the universe supports the existance of earth.

Was the universe created just for human beings?
maybe we will know when additional scrolls are revealed as per the book of Revelation.

The whole universe is made for God Himself and Not for man.
The earth has been created for man.

I've pretty well come to the conclusion that "Bible-ists" don't really believe anything. They just parrot what they're told to say by their Shouters. We're sort of like a sentient flat worm crawling along on a empty mud-bank in the depths of the ocean thinking that we're it, there's nothing else, because we don't see or hear anything else.

The earth was created for all living things. But God gave Mankind dominion over it. He even let Adam name all the plants and animals. Read the book of Genesis

Yes. Some even the believe the Earth is the center of the universe and that the Earth doesn't move.

Yes, I think God made human beings so he wouldn't be lonely and so that we would take good care of the earth he made for us. The earth is god's home that he made for us. However, the humbling part comes because of the fact that God made us because he WANTED to have us here, not because he NEEDED to have us here. God doesn't need humans, but he chooses to have us here. And it's for that reason that we're blessed to be alive.

NO, It was created for God and for His pleasure.

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Revelations 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
