Why can't you understand that it is ok for women to sleep with a lot of men? Why can men do it but women can't? A girl that cheats it's different in my opinion to one who doesn't have a boyfriend and sleeps around. If she has a boyfriend or is married and she sleeps around, then she's trash. But the same is true for guys. But if she doesn't have a bf or is married, then to me that's just a girl who enjoys sex, knows what she wants and goes after it. Nothing wrong with that!
Men want to be able to go out there and have all the fun they want, but their women is supposed to be innocent and clean. It also have a lot to do with the fact that men are very insecure about their own sexual performance. We worry about everything, including our penis size.
Having a girl that is sexually inexperienced and who hasn't had a lot of partners, allows us to feel secured. The reason being that the more partners a girl has had, the more guys that she has to compare us to. Men hate to be compared with other men.
I truly believe that the name calling such as sluts and whores was started by men to suppress women’s sexual needs and to protect their own fragile ego. Which also served to keep women’s power in check. Men have always been physically stronger than females and were generally better educated. But women have always had something that have brought even the strongest men down to his knees. Something has even made kingdoms and countries to go to war…that is the one thing that women have between their legs. Which is the essence of her femininity and what drives men to do stupid acts even today.
The only way of suppressing that power, was by suppressing women’s sexual needs. A women who’s smart, educated and who knows how to use her feminine wonders, is a force to be reckon with. Please, don’t think for a second that I’m insinuating that women need to sleep around in order to gain power or move up the corporate ladder.
The way I see it, is that I don't are what she has done in the past, whether she has been with 2, 15, 50, 100 or more guys or who she has been with in the past (as long as she's healthy and disease free), what I care is what she does while she's with me and how she treats me. Oh and trust me, I have practiced what I preach.

I've only watched this show a few times, but I think the influence shows like this in general have on people depends on their age. Younger kids might watch and be more easily affected by what they see presented as normal, but if you're already an older teen your values are most likely already set. Parents need to discuss these issues with their kids, especially if they're allowing them to watch adult shows.

It doesn't. And it's a little late to jump on the Sex and the City bandwagon; it's been off the air for years (now has reruns in syndication). But if you'll notice, the ladies go from one end of the spectrum to the other: one that's in it solely for sex down to the prim and proper one who desperately wants to find true love and get married. If anyone is looking to this show for an example of how to live their life, then apparently they weren't raised right and can't make decisions for themselves.

I've seen that show a couple of times, and I didn't think all of them were "slutty". There's like what 4 of them, and the only one that came off that way was the older blonde one. All the other ones had boyfriends I think.

thats probably the view of someone who is very moral of course.
children shouldnt be watching it. one good reason it was a 'cable' show to begin with. there is one of the gals who ended up changing her religion from Christianity to Judaism to marry the man she loved. i find it best to look at all things in a lesson learning open mind so that you can be more tolerant of all people.
think of it this way...if God can see everything you do in your life behind closed doors.....would He say you are ok to judge a tv show? the language you use is a sign of intolerance. dont watch it. its like telling you dont have sex before marriage...if the show 'harms' you....just dont watch it. peace
