i just use generic baby butt wipes. rub the cat like you are petting it while you have a wipe in your hand. then just let the cat dry off by himself. leaves them nice and fresh smelling

Why does your cat need washed, is he getting himself dirty and not cleaning himself? Most cats are glad to just clean themselves, though grooming with a brush is very good for them. I know some kitties are just totally against cleaning themselves, but I would want to find out why if this just started happening, in case something is up medically that is making your kitty no longer want to clean himself.
If your cat is healthy and just never has cleaned himself that is different. If he is cleaning himself, then I would just let him do it rather than introduce a bunch of chemicals. But I have seen wipies in pet stores that are for "dry baths" for kitties who need the extra help. We had a very dirty but healthy kitty when I was younger who would kill if anyone cleaned him lol.
Multiple people had to hold him down when he cut himself once, in order to clean the wound, and when we washed him he would get dirty right away. I know have learned that the best way to hold down a kitty who needs medicine or washed, etc., is by wrapping arms in a towel or something -- I know that may make part of the cleaning difficult though, so I hope you get some better suggestions. The cat I am referring to from my childhood was an outdoor cat though, mine are indoor now and clean themselves. Good luck!! Beth

As a rule, cats don't need to be bathed.

If there IS some good reason your cat needs a bath, take him to a professional cat groomer. They know how to deal with cranky kitties.

Do you have any pet stores in your town? PetCo, PetSmart, Pet Supply Plus? Any of these stores will have waterless shampoo products that you can use on your cat.
