Well, isn't it nice to see how many people like to come on here and parade their ignorance? Rudeness of that caliber is best left off this site. (referring to "a couple" of previous answers)

Now, to answer your question.

Every state is different and what may be true for NC may not be true for other states. If you were in an umbrella school (like ABeka Academy) they would have a ceremony you could attend, but you would know about that already. Many, many homeschool groups (just about everyone I know of in my area) offer graduation ceremonies of some sort, so check around. If you do not know of any groups in your area, check www.hslda.org for a list.
another option is through your church. Most churches have some type of recognition for seniors every spring, and you could expand on that, inviting friends and family.
And yet another option would be to have your own ceremony. A friend of mine did that for one of her children and it was great.
They used their church, invited everyone, had a powerpoint presentation with pictures and music, he gave a speech, plus he had his parents speak, his pastor, a couple of friends. It was fantastic. He has a wonderful sense of humor, so it was funny, and sentimental and just perfect.
you could look in to any of those options.
good luck!

Typically unless you have attended at least part time, you can't graduate with a different school's class. They are certifying your education by graduating you, and they can't do that if they didn't educate you. Do you know any other homeschoolers that are graduating too? Why not throw your own ceremony? Even if you don't, you could just make a special event out of it. Go out to dinner somewhere special with your parents. You can still go to college after highschool even with a diploma from homeschool. Colleges are getting much more friendly towards homeschoolers than they used to be. If you just want the pictures you can go to most any portrait place and get pictures done in a cap and gown. I gradutated from a self study highschool run by the public school. They didn't do pictures so I got my own done.

I graduated with a homeschool 'class' of 125 kids. Some I knew, some I didn't. It was a great ceremony, I got a spiffy diploma, my mom got all the pictures she wanted, and my dad even cried. Get online and check out local homeschool groups in your area and see what they have going on.

Some homeschool support groups will offer a graduation ceremony. I'd suggest that you or your parents look into that option.

If you got curriculum through your local school, you can graduate with your class.
Also, many communities have homeschooling co-ops that provide a graduation ceremony. Try and find one in your community.
