I don't mind them being here, I just want them to pay taxes and speak English. Is that too much to ask? I pay taxes yearly and I was born here, so why should they not have to? I love all everybody but I shouldn't have to be unfairly taxed because of illegals, and God wants us to pay taxes.

The more important question is, why are the United States and Mexico so different? Why is it that we have so much more than Mexico? Did the Pilgrims just happen to land in the richest country the world has ever known? Or did they CREATE the richest country the world has ever known? Perhaps if Mexicans turned their energy inward, and fixed what's wrong with their own country, there wouldn't be any need to leave it. I'd go as far as to suggest that conditions in Mexico would improve if we shut down the border, and shipped back all the illegals. Then the problem becomes simple. Either the Mexicans fix Mexico, or they starve to death. I think they're smart enough to do what they have to do, if they no longer have the option of running away from it.

What's sad is Mexico is as rich or richer in natural resources and they still live like a third world country. Don't even try that tactic because it won't work. If the illegals really want to do something why don't they go back home and make a change in their government and start utilizing their own homeland like Americans have? The fact is that the Mexican government is so corrupt and has always been that way and the populace don't do anything about it.

Well, Mexico is a nation rich in resources and it's government ain't doing a damn thing about it! I do not see their own heavy industry in place. They could though. They have enough raw resources to develop what ever they wish. However, it's easier to leech off our rich neighbor to the north. I'm not talking about border crossers...I'm talking about their government! Do you think that we just waltzed into a strong, well developed nation right off of the Mayflower? Hell no! We worked our butts off to get where we are, and we still do, and we give it away in grants and no interest loans, that never get paid back, by the same countries who condemn us. I don't want to give away anything we all work for! Look there is a process in place to get here and it takes time. My family did it, so can they (from where ever they are from). Get some facts, and then come back to talk!

Why do you think the rich elite Mexicans are sending their poor over here. Mexico is one of the 10 richest countries in the world. The illegals are not complaining about the building of the wall. It is the rich Mexicans who refuse to help their poor that are complaining.

That's a flawed question. Because you're asking people who live in America in this world to answer a question about an alternative world. The environment would be 100% different so they would be brought up different.

I know what you're trying to do.... but quite frankly it's a biased question and you can't really expect any real/truthfull answers can you?

{edit}

Well this isn't a site for statements, my friend. It's a place for questions. So if you have a question, please delete this one, stop wasting our time... and come up with a good one. (No I'm not reporting you or anything like that)

Your statement is good, I see what you're trying to do. Just take it somewhere else or ask a real question.

Why is this, in your mind, a question about rich and poor?

No one is trying to prevent lawful immigration. US immigration laws are in place to protect us against the inflow of criminals and disease. When people immigrate lawfully, they meet these requirements and are welcomed in, as if they were born here. Fully entitled to everything natural citizens are entitled to... except they can't be President.

The thing folks are opposed to is illegal immigration. When people come across our border without getting permission first, they put our entire population at risk, because they could (and DO) have criminal backgrounds or illnesses that would prevent them from migrating lawfully...

Mexico is poor because of liberalism. The U..S. is a Capitalist country where hard work and living by the rules enables you to make it.

Work to improve the Mexican government.

Great question...I think the answer really doesnt matter because all the self important people like el presidente bush and all the people in high ranking offical jobs for the grand ole us of a would still snub thier nose at the poor, ignor thier own country's plea for aid and continue to spend freely like there is no one out there that could use the extra buck or two....the only real difference would be there would be no middle ground...your either rich or poor..and all the poor folks would run for the border....and hopefully mexico would have no knowledge of what we would do to them if the roles were reversed....hmmmm

And the great goverment of Mexico would put their army shoulder to shoulder at the border and shoot them down as they crossed over. That's the difference. Any that did make it across would never ever get government assistance for housing, medical or education.
