I would definitely see the doctor and be rechecked for cancer. The bleeding could be from ulcerative colitis. This, or cancer or any number of trauma, injuries, infections, etc. stimulate the lympahtic system to go into gear. Excess lymph production due to this response is why the glands swell up. Take care of the original problem and the swelling will subside. If it is ulcerative colitis(or other bowell disease) take aloe vera juice and blueberry tea. That should help. Also, a handful of raw almoonds, while not curing cancer, will build up a resistance to cell mutation and protect against cancer.

A lot of cancers cause the breakdown of surrounding tissue, which causes bleeding. When the lining on your intestines or your colon bleed, the blood is usually expelled right along with your stools when you defecate.

All blood that makes its way through the bowels is dark red blood, because most of the blood circulating through the bowels has already passed through your leg and back and abdominal muscles, which have already absorbed most of the oxygen (but not all), and it is only highly oxygenated blood fresh from the heart (after coming from the lungs) that is bright red in color. So, the darkness of the blood isn't too surprising.

One of the reasons that the lymph nodes under her skin between her abdomen and her head are swelling up, is that it is the lymphatic system that is trying it's hardest to combat the cancers, and when the lymphatic system is failing and it knows it's failing, instead of just giving up, lymph nodes try harder, as they open up their blood vessels so that they can be replenished of nutrients, and be better equipped to fight the cancer, which is why they swell up. So, this, too, isn't all that abnormal.

Sometimes a cancer can spread from one kind of tissue to another kind of tissue, so it is possible that the cancer has spread from her bowel to her lymphatic system, but, I can't really tell you how to know that for certain.

For that, you should try to consult a type of doctor called an Oncologist.

Good luck.

And please feel free to pass on my best wishes to this somebody you know with it.

no one can make a diagnosis without doing tests on this person, but what you describe does sound suspicious for a recurrence of the cancer. enlarged lymph nodes and bleeding are two very common signs of spreading bowel cancer. there are other reasons why these symptoms could be happening, but given this person's history, she better get checked out by a doctor right away.

Funny, you presented the same information about yourself days ago. Go get checked, and stop wasting everyone's time. This is a serious subject. Also, it is BOWEL or COLON cancer.

Black blood in the stool means old blood. Blood that isn't passing quickly. It sounds like her cancer is back.
Why don't you ask her?
