. Yes, we may even make it a holiday. We'll call it, Deportation Day, the day America became the America we used to know.

There will always be some illegal immigrants in this country because of how vast and populated the country is. Let's just hope we can get the number down to some manageable number that won't be so devastating to the economy, education, health system and welfare.

The only way we could stop illegal immigration would be to make our country less desirable than their home country - mainly by eroding our standard of living. This would remove the incentive to come here.

Even if we were to enclose our country with a 100 foot tall wall and seal every other point of entry, line up border guards ever 5 feet around the entire country 24/7, and thoroughly check every single person entering through every airport and seaport, people who wanted in would find a way. And if we were to adopt these measures - even to a lesser extent, we would degrade what it means to be an American for our citizens and legal immigrants.

More info:
I know illegal immigration is an issue that sparks a very passionate negative response with most people, but any realistic "cures" to the problem need to start with rational understanding of why people come to America.

Most people - illegal or legal - do not come to America simply because it's here. They come to America because they believe there is an opportunity for a better life than they have in their homeland. Even working for crap wages as a day laborer, they will probably raise their standard of living in America. You can pass all the rules and regulations you want and spend as much money on enforcement as you want. But unless you give the people a reason to believe they have better opportunities by staying at home, they will still try to get here. And many will succeed.

Many of the people coming to America are living in total poverty with little or no health care, poor education, and struggling to feed their families. The risk of being turned back, arrested and deported, or even being killed or dying on the way pales in comparison to the desire to provide a better life for one's family. And passing laws to discourage people from hiring illegals does nothing to change the immigrant's desire to improve their life.

Your analogy of Hitler and Jews is an out right loser!

America has laws for entering this country, just like every other country on earth! We do not forbid other peoples form coming to America and YOU should learn something about our laws before committing on them!

I adopted a Vietnamese, 5 year old girl while in Vietnam. It took me four weeks, six months later she was a US citizen! I went through the US state department, followed both Vietnam and US laws, NO PROBLEM!

My wife is Korean, we applied for her visa to come to America, we got married in NJ, NO ISSUES! We applied for her mother to come to America, NO ISSUES!

I do take issues with anyone that violates our laws, and sneaks into this country, use forged documents to gain access to our treasures!

You have not done one thing for this country, yet you want to pass judgment! Take your position to all the Americans that have died, so that you can run your intelligent mouth!

America does not need any one that starts out violating her laws before they even get here!
LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that there will always be people that are willing to break immigration laws and be illegal.

I also believe that the massive numbers that we have now will be cut down dramatically when those within government start addressing the concerns of citizens - esp. when they find that if they don’t start addressing the problems and enforce the laws that they will no longer be in office.

People are just SICK of the many problems that come within the country because of unsecured borders.

i feel the only way we would stop having illegal imagrants in america is if we get more border patrol and a wall like the wall of china to prevent them from crossing it

No, and considering it never has, what would make you think it ever will? America is immigrants, legally, illegally waiting to become legal, or just plain illegal.

That will never happen but hopefully there will be a day when they aren't encouraged to come,I believe that day is already being planned. If we need more immigrants than let them in legally that way they will be documented immunized and we can be a little more picky about who is coming in our house.

This is a major problem and it doesn't look like it will be resolved anytime soon. All of the politicians are so busy being politically correct that they are losing sight that the US is becoming the new Mexico. Our U.S. born children are going to suffer if something isn't done about this situation now!
