I have like 8 speakers and am about to buy an amp and a cd deck; i just don't know anything about wiring.

you can play hundreds of dollars to get it professionally done or, if you know any kids or have friends that do that stuff, jsut ask them it could save you a lot of money.one time I was at best buy and they wanted to charge this dude liek 100 bux to put in his cd player so I told him I would just do it for 40 real quick. good luck

Get an installation estimate from several different shops after you have purchased the speakers.
You might find that one amp might not be enough. I'm assuming your car didn't come with 8 speakers, so a custom install will be in order which may cost more than you'd expect.
My guess would be about $400 for a professional install.
