Hell is very real and has its own place. When the Bible says God created Heaven and Earth, since Hell is part of the Earth it was created the same time the Earth was.

Sh'ol-(Sheol, Hades, Hell)-the place of the dead, according to the Tanakh(The old testament)
If you do not have the Life inside you are spiritually dead. If you do not know the Light then you are in darkness. If you do not know the Way then you are lost.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light. Without Him, there is no Life. Hasatan (hebrew for satan) was cast down to earth, when He got a bunch of the angels together and tried to go up against God. You have a god, even if you are unaware of it. Being alive is having union with the Holy Spirit of God, through Jesus Christ. Before coming to repentance, and accepting the free gift of salvation, we are all dead. Our sin seperates us from God. Jesus is the Way to God. He is the Light in the darkness. He reveals the Truth. The Holy Spirit indwells in us, and literally guides us, and speaks to us. God is One: the best way Ive heardthis explained is: I am one person-yet I am 3- I am a woman-I am a daughter-I am a mother-I am one but I am many. This is how it is with God- He is One-He is a Father-He is the Son-He is the Holy Spirit. If you feel like you are living in hell, you probably are right. Thatt is what seperation from God feels like. That is why we come to Jesus. We are not of this world. There are sons of man and sons of God. God knows His own. Luckily, He didn't limit this to just the offspring of His chosen people. Due to the sons of God loving the daughters of man and having children with them, way back in the old testament- we are all intermixed. God planned everything. But at some point, when you hear His calling you, you have a choice to make. He calls all of us. Do not harden your heart, or He will give you what you want- and if what you want is to be left to your own, He will give that to you. But you still have a god. The word says that He will actually intensify those desires, to aid you in your own demise. I heard a good saying once, " Religion is for people who are afraid of hell- Jesus is for people who have been to hell!"
Next point: There is a judgement. Each will be judged according to his/her ways. God judges the heart. God has written His ways, on the heart and in the mind of everyone. So, someone that does not know the Torah (God's Law) but follows it, by doing good, and right; has obeyed. Jesus saved all. Many will be called; few chosen. If you are chosen, you will trust and walk by faith; you will repent and recieve the Holy Spirit; your life will be more meaningful and purpose filled, and you will have a relationship with the Living God, while you are alive. Someday, when Jesus returns in physical, all will see; every knee shall bow and every tongue shall proclaim YHWH is God. Some will be cast to Sh'ol. I do not know where Sh'ol is. If you read the Bible, you will get a fed. If you accept Jesus, you will get everlasting life.

that is a thought I had years ago and it could be possible
that earth is hell and our trials and tribulations are the merits
we gain during this short life span we have. I love this place
called earth and there are many places to hide and seek peace
for us. But I am 50 years old and really I am ready to move on.
I have let go of everything. Being a capitalist, materialistic,
and a hundred other things. Ahh! TO HELL WITH IT ALL>
bye.

No, earth is not hell. If it were we would not need the Bible. Our fate would already be sealed. And, we would not have needed Jesus. I'm not entirely sure that God has created hell as of yet although I could be wrong on that one. The book of Revelation refers to the anti-christ and all his followers will be thrown into the lake of fire (I think that is what most Christians consider hell to be.) but that will not occur until Christ returns and sets up his kingdom in the New Jerusalem.

Hell is just the common grave of all mankind according to the Bible, in Revelation, Hell is to be emptied of all the dead in it which makes sense since Jesus said there would be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. The fiery tormenting Hell was created by the old churches during the middle ages and before to throw fear into men so they would come to church and give them their money to pray them out of there.

LOL--that's a good one. Maybe you should read further than Genesis but I think you have the right idea. Revelation says that Jesus threw Satan and all the demons out of heaven and down to the earth when he sat down at the right hand of his father in heaven.

Yeah, it's been thought before. Here's the thing about this category though: It's called Religion and Spirituality, but really, it's Religion 99.99999 percent, Spirituality .0000001 percent. Do not think heaven AND earth, think heaven ON earth.
