I just started dating this amazing guy, who I am really attracted to, but I have very little experience with kissing and can't seem to get over the squemishness about kissing, french kissing specifically. Any suggestions? Tips or Pointers? How is kissing supposed to feel or work?

definitely, I think you'll get used to it after a while and get the hang of it. I was the same way when I started kissing, I was terrified. but seriously, its not as big of a deal as I made of it, and is actually really fun when you get over the initial fear of it.

It does feel really awkward when you first start doing it... but after a few times, it won't be so bad and you'll start to like it.. and if you don't feel comfortable at all, then take it a little slower.

you always start with little pecks. one after the other, after the other. and then you open your mouth a little between them and then take the initiative and stick the tongue. yyahhhhh. =]
