At your height, 120 pounds is NOT fat - not by a long shot. Your mom is right about that part. If you don't believe me or her, then look online for a height/weight chart, or a body mass index ("BMI") chart or calculator.
If you feel that your family doesn't eat healthy foods, take a step back and take a good hard look. Is it that they really don't eat healthy foods, or are they simply not obsessing over every last calorie? Everyone needs a balance - I'm sure that's something that you've been taught in school - and fad diets do not generally qualify as anything even *approaching* "balance." If there's something that you would like to see your mother buy, how about asking her? Since you're critical of what she's buying, it implies that you have some idea of what she SHOULD buy, so speak up. Make sure that you're not seeing her purchases through the lens of the latest fad and be fair to her; but likewise make suggestions if you think there's truly a problem.

im 17 and i faced the same problem a few years ago, when i was your age. personally i came up with this. i took my height, turned it in inches and times it by 2 1/2 and if i weighed more than that then i was either fat and on my way to being fat. in your case, you're nowhere close. 167lbs for that height is fat, or alot of muscle. right now, you should look like a twig. if you really think your fat, then 'get rid of it' but you should be real skinny, atleast to the average person's tastes.
dont worry, you wont need jenny craig anytime soon.

i think you are completely fine- in fact skinny for your height. you are really tall and probably still growing so your body needs the few extra lbs it has now to keep you healthy. if you feel like you're not eating healthy enough, you can ask your mom to buy you fruit instead of snacks, dont say anything about being healthy, just ask casually if she could pickup some apples, grapes etc. good luck!

your 12 and 5'8? that is not a bad thing. i think your fine. u definitely have a ways to go b4 u get to the fat stage. most professional bodybuilders are about your height and they weigh way more than you do. but if you want to get bigger just be careful because at your age your body hasnt stopped growing and your bones arent ready to handle a lot of weight. so stop thinking your fat and start running some pass routes

your skinny, I was about 111 and 5'4 and was considered very skinny, if you are 5'7-5'8 your pretty skinny, 120 sounds alot, but it isn't becuase you are tall. In fact you are very tall, you should seriously try modeling, your pretty tall for a 12 year old, I was 5'7 when I was 14-15 in highschool. So don't fret, you are not overweight, definetly not...

You sound great:-) I think that you should talk to your parents and tell them that you don't think you're fat, you just would like to eat healthier because when you're older your metabolism will slow down and you don't want to be used to eating all this unhealthy food. You want to be used to eating healthier food.

You're underweight for your height. You can google a BMI calculator, enter your height and weight, and see what you get. Then take that number and google BMI charts for children, and it will show you the normal range for your age.

Nope....NOT fat. You are in fact on the slender side for your height ! Just a note......only somebody who is envious of your figure would dare to suggest you are FAT ! ( just to make you feel bad because they wish they are as thin as you ! )
