Asthma can kill you. Your body can basically strangle itself. If you go to school tell your school nurse about your problems breathing and that you think you may have asthma that is a start. Also try to get your dad to make a random doctors appoint check up type deal and tell the doctor. Parents to approve your medical conditions and prescribe you medicine the doctors do. Furthermore you need to figure out a way to have a more open relationship with your father or a close family member because if you can trust your dad to help you with possible asthma how are you gonna get help with other pressing problems such as growing up and other medical conditions.

asthma is not something you just "get". it is a disease process usually brought out by family history (someone else in your family has it). it is not a temporary thing. it can be a serious thing as well. here a basic way to tell if u have it. i don't know your age, but if you exercise, play basketball, swim, run, play hockey, etc and you get out of breath way way easily and cant even continue (youre either out of shape) and you find that your breathing is extremely difficult.... even after you rest and you actually feel u cant breath and you pass out etc. then maybe maybe u have asthma. if you have ever every played some sports so far in your life... your most likely DO NOT HAVE ASTHMA

I believe you. Is there a friend or family member that can take you to a doctor? Try that. I understand a parent not believing you. Mine never believed me when I had problems.

You should see a doctor right away. I have asthma brought on by bronchitis last year. It still affects me. It is not fun to not be able to breathe. My husband doesn't believe me about it either. It hurts not to be believed, I know. Will you email me to let me know what happens?

GO TO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE AND FIND OUT...FIRST MAKE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT...AND TELL THEM THAT YOU THINK THAT YOU MAY ASTHMA...I DID...AND ITS BEST TO BE SAFE THEN SORRY

Have you had your doctor confirm it? If he/she does, then there's no denying it.
