Best friends (for 3 years) who just recently fell head over heels for each other - we both know that we care and adore each other but decided that if we ever wanted a "relationship" with each other it would have to be at the right time so it could be "serious, and long lasting" - we're trying to get past this situation and still be friends but i know we're still not completely over each other - he'll hold my hand sometimes and give me a kiss on the hand more than once - what does a kiss on the hand mean?

I agree. Respect, genuine "DEEP" love and he sees you as a little something more than just "some chick."

Hand-kissing is a ritual of greeting and respect. The hand-kiss is offered by a woman to a man (the man kissing the hand). It is a gesture of extreme politeness where the lady offering it is expected to be of same or higher social status than the gentleman executing it. It is considered impolite to refuse an offered hand-kiss.
