I was in third grade and our teacher told us that she did not want to call names but some people were starting to have an odor. That we were growing up and that she is recomending the entire class wear it. If the offenders still ofend she will pull them asside and talk to them individually. I was 8years old. Then about fith grade i rembered everyday

my sister told me around age 10 that I needed to start wearing it. It should be used daily from the onset.

I started at about 10 ,my mom made sure I wore it everyday,Thats when I started shaving my armpits what ever little hair I had .

I was about 12 when I started wearing deoderant daily.

Same thing happened to me in 5th grade. Our homework assignment was to buy deoderant and wear it. I wore it basically everyday from then on.

As I recall, I started wearing it about age 11, which was when I was starting through puberty.

A good clue is hair. When you start to grow hair where there was none then you probably are having those glands kick in and you can become odorous.
I have 3 preteens who are all supposed to wear it daily.... yet I still have to ask and check.... they can't smell a thing and I am dying, gasping for some fresh air.....

Wow, I can't remember when I started. But I do remember what brand I used .... Teen Spirit powder fresh! Do they still make that stuff I wonder???

I think you should start using deodorant when you reach puberty ie when you get your period. That 's the time body odours get stinky.
