Yes, you will gain muscle and lift and tone your buttocks by running daily. When your daily run becomes easy for you, increase the intensity by adding sprints or running up more hills or run for longer.

if you are new to exercise or to running there may be some initial increase in the various muscles of the upper and lower leg. running does not provide the type of stimulation to muscles that would allow for constant muscle growth even with a caloric excess.

NO ! Have you seen many runners ? They have the skinniest legs/ and butts around ! Constant running creates long LEAN muscle......your legs will be stronger; but you wont get big legs from running.

Yes, actually.. it works all three (though mostly the leg muscles). Also, and running outside (as opposed to a treadmill) works your legs even more.
